Gas fireplace combustion device structure

A gas fireplace combustion device structure includes a simulated solid fuel and a combustor under the simulated solid fuel. The combustor has a fire exit hole facing the simulated solid fuel, a combustion air inlet passage under the combustor, and a specific slot at the combustor to define a third combustion air inlet. A partition is installed under the combustor; a second combustion air inlet leading to fire exit hole is formed between the partition and the combustor; the combustion air inlet passage is provided for supplying air to the second and third combustion air inlets; a combustion air slot is formed at the middle of the simulated solid fuel to resupply combustion air to the flame above the simulated solid fuel in order to achieve a two-time sectional combustion. This invention can control and resupply combustion air to the flames in different areas to improve the combustion effect.

Dual-fuel fireplace apparatus

A dual-fuel fireplace apparatus is described. In one example, an apparatus includes an enclosure having a door disposed thereon and a wood-burning compartment disposed within the enclosure. The wood-burning compartment has an insulated housing configured to support temperatures associated with burning of wood within the wood-burning compartment. A gas-burning compartment is also disposed within the enclosure and has a gas burner disposed therein. A mechanism including a motor is configured to cause movement between a first mode in which the wood-burning compartment is viewable through the door and a second mode in which the gas-burning compartment is viewable through the door.

Streamer type flame simulation device

A streamer type flame simulation device includes a casing, some cross-flow fans disposed inside the casing, a first streamer, a second streamer, a supplementary air-supplying device and a light source. The supplementary air-supplying device is arranged in the split joint area between the two cross-flow fans. Since a supplementary air-supplying device is provided between two cross-flow fans for supplying air, the deficiency where air was unable to deliver at the space occupied by the drive motor of the cross-flow fans can be avoided. Various parts of the first streamer and the second streamer can be blown, thus preventing the flame from being cut off and enhancing the overall coordination, which greatly improves the viewing effect of the flame area.

ARTIFICIAL LOG ASSEMBLY

An artificial log assembly includes an artificial log having an outer wall that is substantially cylindrical and elongated along an axis. The artificial log has a cavity inside the outer wall. The artificial log assembly includes a fuel supply in the cavity. The fuel supply has a plurality of fuel outlets closer to the axis than to the outer wall. The fuel outlets are spaced from each other along the axis. Slits extend through the outer wall to the cavity. At least some of the slits are spaced from each other along the axis and are spaced from each other circumferentially about the axis.

A fireplace and method of manufacturing a fireplace. Embodiments of the fireplace comprise a combustion chamber, a front opening allowing viewing within the combustion chamber, and a back wall opposite the front opening. The back wall can be controllably switched between an opaque state and a transparent state. A combustion region between the front opening and the back wall is adapted to provide a flame. A controller coupled to the back wall enables a user to switch the back wall between the opaque and transparent states. In embodiments the back wall comprises a glass panel and switchable film on the glass panel. The controller is coupled to the switchable film.

Ignition system

A system including a burner configured to be coupled to a fuel line to deliver fuel to the burner and an igniter positioned adjacent to the burner and configured to ignite fuel emitted by the burner. The system further includes a valve configured to control a flow of fuel through the fuel line and a control module operably coupled to the igniter and to the valve. The control module is configured to send a signal to the igniter and to close the valve if a quality of a return electrical signal from the igniter is below a predetermined value.

FIREBOX ASSEMBLY FOR A GAS FIREPLACE AND GAS HEATING APPLIANCE

A firebox is provided for use in a gas fireplace, the firebox comprising: a back which includes at least one combustion fan aperture, an upper end and a lower end and a length therebetween, a pair of sides, each side including an upper end, a lower end, a first riser which has an inner section and an outer section, the inner section attached to the back, a first flange, which is parallel to the back and extends outward from the back, and a second riser, wherein the outer section of the first riser, the first flange and the second riser extend above the upper end of the back and below the lower end of the back; a top which is attached to the inner section of the first risers and to the back at the upper end; and a base which is attached to the inner section of the first risers and to the back above the combustion fan aperture, to define an opening. The fireplace is also provided.

Low-profile exhaust and air intake system for a direct vent fireplace

An exhaust and air intake system for a direct vent fireplace. A low-profile manifold assembly is coupled to a direct vent fireplace and is configured to receive exhaust gases from the fireplace and expel the exhaust gases outside of the building in which the fireplace is located. The manifold assembly also takes in fresh air from outside of the building and provides the fresh air to the fireplace to use during combustion. The manifold assembly includes separate chambers for the exhaust gases and the fresh air so that the exhaust gases and the fresh air do not mix together within the manifold assembly. Several pressure reduction and equalization structures are incorporated into the manifold assembly to regulate the amount and pressure of fresh air provided to the fireplace.
