Infrared radiant emitter
An infrared heating apparatus includes a sheet of ceramic glass having a passband in the infrared spectrum, a metal resistive element having a first portion that is covered by a ceramic refractory material and a second portion that is exposed by the ceramic refractory material, and a controller that controls the metal resistive element to emit infrared radiation in a wavelength corresponding to the passband of the ceramic glass.
MULTIFUNCTION TOASTER OVEN
A toaster oven includes a housing having an internal heating compartment, at least one heating element within the internal heating compartment, a vent associated with at least one wall of the internal heating compartment, the vent being moveable between an open position where air is permitted to pass into the internal heating compartment through the vent, and a closed position where passage of air into the internal heating compartment through the vent is inhibited. The vent is configured to move from the closed position to the open position in response to a biasing force exerted by a food support tray received within the internal heating compartment.
CONTROL UNIT FOR A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
The present invention relates to a control unit for a household appliance, in particular for a cooking appliance (1). The control unit comprises at least one input/output device (UI) for the entry of control commands and for the visualisation of information, particularly status information, and at least one control element (S1, S2, S3, S4) comprising a plurality of touch-sensitive switching elements positioned in a straightlined arrangement. At least a part of the input/output device (UI) is touch-sensitive and/or formed as a touch screen. The control element (S1, S2, S3, S4) is adapted to assign a power level to an electrical load depending on the activated switching element. At least one first special function, in particular a first special operating program, is assignable to at least a first one of the plurality of switching elements. The input/output device (UI) further comprises at least one selection button (13, 15), which is adapted to provide the selection of the at least one first special function. The invention also relates to a cooking appliance comprising said control unit and a method for controlling a household appliance.
Heating assembly for cooking appliance
A cooking appliance, such as a toaster or oven, has a lifting arm including ribs that form a support surface for a food product in a cooking cavity of the appliance. Each rib can include an opening configured to permit infrared radiation from a heating assembly to pass through the rib to the food product supported by the lifting arm and/or to reduce a thermal mass and capacitance of the lifting arm. The heating assembly can include a support and/or heating element with a curved shape having a concave side facing a cooking cavity. The support and/or heating element can have a planar shape when unstressed and a curved shape when stressed. The heating element may be coupled to the support so as to be slidably movable relative to the support, e.g., so the heating element can slide relative to the support.

Electric grill appliance and heating element therefor
An electric grill with a cooking surface for cooking food, which cooking surface has at least two adjacent heating zones is disclosed. Each heating zone of the grill is assigned a first electrical heating element 8 for heating the cooking surface in this heating zone, H.sub.1, H.sub.2. A second heating element 9 is arranged in a subset of the heating zones (H.sub.1) for increasing the heating power in this heating zone (H.sub.1) with a power input that at least matches that of a first heating element 8 of another heating zone (H.sub.2). The grill 1 has a heating element switchover feature, such that, when a second heating element 9 is switched on in a heating zone H.sub.1 with two heating elements 8, 9, a power corresponding to the power input of the second heating element 9 that is switched on or to be switched on is switched off on first heating elements 8 in one or more other heating zones H.sub.1, or switching on such power is blocked.
Heating cooking device
A heating cooking device includes: a heating chamber having a front face opening; and a heater that is provided on an upper wall of the heating chamber to heat an object to be heated stored in the heating chamber, at least part of the heater being disposed at a center of the heating chamber seen from above. The heating cooking device further includes camera that is provided on the upper wall of the heating chamber and is disposed closer to a front of the heating chamber than the center of the heating chamber is when seen from above, with camera having an imaging direction inclined toward a rear side of the heating chamber with respect to a vertical direction. The heating cooking device further includes blower fan that is provided on the upper wall of the heating chamber, closer to a front of the heating chamber than the center of the heating chamber is when seen from above and is disposed at a position on one of a right side and a left side with respect to camera as seen from above, and that blows air toward camera from the one of the right side and the left side.
IMPLANTABLE MATRIX FOR TREATING CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DISORDERS
The present invention is related to the fields of drug delivery and implantable devices. Devices, systems, and methods for use of drug delivery implants are contemplated herein. The present invention relates to implantable devices, as well as their methods of use and manufacturing. Exemplary embodiments of the present invention include fiber and sheet based implantable devices for drug delivery to bodily lumens. In particular, implantable drug delivery device compositions are contemplated for use providing consistent drug delivery over time to the central nervous system for treating associated disorders and disease. As one specific example, a CNS delivery device is contemplated for implantation in a region of the nose for providing consistent drug delivery over time to brain tissue for treating brain associated diseases, e.g. Alzheimer's disease (AD) and related dementias (AD/ADRD).
Electric composite heat oven with sight window for transparent planar heating element
An electric composite heat oven provided with a sight window of a transparent planar heating element is provided. Since the electric composite heat oven has a structure in which a heater heating element is installed, being lower than the upper end of a cooking container, on the front and rear sidewalls of a cooking chamber of an enclosure and a transparent planar heating element is installed over an opening of the cooking chamber of the enclosure, radiant heat may actively control various disturbances that occur during cooking depending on a place where the oven is installed and a change in temperature, whereby there is an effect of providing the optimum heat power depending on a cooking material and also shortening cooking time.
Rapid Cook Broiler with Movable Heat Shields for Improved Temperature Control
A rapid cook finish broiler with programmable, movable heat shields that open at the beginning of a cook cycle and close after a set period of time blocking much of the heat from heating elements from reaching food disposed below, enabling users to keep the heat source at a high setting, and having shelves with adjustable heights and a blower system that provides air flow to distribute and direct hot air onto food product to reduce cooking times.
