Oven appliance and method for preheating high-heat cooking surface
An oven appliance may include a cabinet, a plurality of chamber walls, a cooking surface, a top heating element, a temperature sensor, and a controller. The cooking surface may be defined in a cooking chamber. The top heating element may be mounted above the cooking surface to heat the cooking chamber. The temperature sensor may be disposed within the cabinet. The controller may be configured to initiate a cooking operation that includes initiating preheat activation of the top heating element, receiving temperature signals from the temperature sensor during the preheat activation, determining a preheat threshold is met based on the received temperature signals, and initiating cooking activation of the top heating element based on a cooking cycle having a predetermined time interval subsequent to determining the preheat threshold is met. Initiating cooking activation may include directing the top heating element based on the cooking cycle for the predetermined time interval.
Appliance for processing food and method of operating same
Appliance for processing food and method of operating the same The present application in particular is related to a method of operating a cooking appliance, in which a food category of a food item automatically can be assigned based on features extracted from an image of the food item. For improving assignment, the method is provided with self learning performance.
Electronic stove and universal power supply
An electronic stove incorporates a cylindrical outer shell and a concentric copper heater core. A foil heater surrounds the copper heater core and a heater control PCB carried in the outer shell is connected to the foil heater. A battery assembly has a cylindrical second outer shell carrying a battery pack. A power controller carried in the second outer shell is connected to the battery pack. A connector carriage is engaged between the battery assembly and cylindrical outer shell, extending through the shell of the battery assembly and received in the cylindrical outer shell aligned proximate a lower surface of the first outer shell whereby the lower surfaces of the first outer shell and the second outer shell are in planar alignment. A first contact set of a connector is connected to the heater control PCB. A second contact is connected to the power controller.
Cooking appliance
A cooking appliance capable of preventing a user's unintended rotation of a knob assembly includes: a main body including a control panel; a valve positioned inside the main body, and including a valve shaft being pushable and rotatable; and a knob assembly including an inner knob coupled with the valve shaft, and an outer knob being movable with respect to the inner knob in a first direction in which the outer knob approaches the inner knob, wherein, when the outer knob moves by a first push distance in the first direction, the valve shaft and the inner knob are prevented from rotating.
Remotely Controlled Power Assembly
A remotely controlled power assembly includes a power box that is mountable to an appliance. A female outlet is attachable to the power box thereby facilitating the female outlet to be electrically coupled to a power cord for the appliance. A master power cord is attachable to the power box and the master power cord is electrically coupled to an appliance power source. A switching relay is in electrical communication with each of the female electrical outlet and the master power cord. The switching relay is actuatable into an engaged condition to turn on the appliance and a disengaged condition to turn off the appliance. A receiver is in electrical communication with the switching relay. A remote control is in remote communication with the receiver for remotely turning the appliance on and off.
ELECTRONIC STOVE AND UNIVERSAL POWER SUPPLY

A first contact set of a connector is connected to the heater control PCB. A second contact is connected to the power controller.
Cooktop appliance and heating element having a thermostat
A cooktop appliance or heating element, as provided herein, may include a sensor support assembly positioned within a heating zone of the heating element. The sensor support assembly may include a shroud cover and a thermostat. The thermostat may be mounted to the shroud cover. The thermostat may include a base and a top cap held on the base. The top cap may be positioned above the shroud cover and spaced apart therefrom. A vertical air gap may be defined between the top cap and the shroud cover.
CONTENT VOLUME MEASUREMENT
A device can include an enclosure defining an interior having an enclosure volume and configured to hold one or more items, a heat system configured to heat the interior of the enclosure, a fluid system configured to input a known amount of a fluid (e.g., water, steam, air) into the enclosure, and a pressure sensor configured to sense a pressure within the enclosure. The device can include an item volume deduction module operatively connected to the pressure sensor and the fluid system. The item volume deduction module can be configured to correlate a pressure increase caused by injection of a known amount of the fluid (e.g., water, steam, air) in the enclosure to a total item volume of the one or more items within the enclosure.
Oven with automatic control of pan elevation
System and method for controlling a smart cooking appliance, including: at an oven comprising a cooking chamber, a food support platform, and a control unit; detecting a first event corresponding to a start of a cooking process for a food item, wherein a first heating surface of the cooking chamber is operating at a first preset output level; in response to detecting the first event, activating one or more actuators to move the food support platform to a first position; while the food support platform is at the first position and while the first heating surface is operating at the first preset output level, detecting that oven reconfiguration criteria are met; and in response to detecting that the oven reconfiguration criteria are met, activating the one or more actuators to move the food support platform from the first position to a second position that is distinct from the first position.
