ADVANCED REINFORCEMENT DESIGN FOR MULTIFUNCTION CONCRETE WASTEPIPES

This application discloses an advanced design method for customized RCP, (cRCP), with one or more made-to-order reinforcement cages supporting one or more wall-encapsulated heat-exchange channels, cast with special-batch (SB) concrete having additions of fine-disperse CaCO.sub.3 and particular polymer fibers; the resulting Single- and DoubleEPipe sections especially adapted for heat exchange with pipe-internal wastestreams and/or groundwater and including provisions for an optional graywater accumulator for efficient recapture of both water and energy.

GRAY WATER HEAT RECOVERY APPARATUS AND METHOD
20220404036 · 2022-12-22 ·

A gray water heat recovery apparatus has first and second passes in counter-flow orientation. The hot side is gray water. The cold side is fresh water. It extracts heat from the gray water. The fresh water is carried in tubing bundles in series immersed in gray water sumps in a unitary cylindrical plastic, mild steel, stainless steel or copper pipe section that defines multiple flow passages. Both ends of the fresh water bundle assembly extend from the same upper end pipe closure, without a pressurized line wall penetration in the walls of the pipe. There is a non-electrically conductive barrier between the fresh water and gray water flow paths. The apparatus has a leak detection circuit and co-operable bypass valves. The lower manifold has gray water passages between the centering ears. The entire assembly is enclosed in a unitary external housing with axially accessible connection fittings.

HEAT PUMP HUMAN WASHING APPLIANCE

A residential bathtub or shower is combined with a catch drain or basin below and in proximity with the tub or shower in a unitary structure. Most components of a heat pump are located in the catch basin. A hot water tank is outside of the catch basin but located in the immediate vicinity such as at an end of the tub or above the tub or alongside of the tub. The hot tank includes a heat exchanger that is the heat pump condenser, bringing heat to the hot tank for warming household water. Hot water flows from the tank into the tub or shower for bathing and then drains into the catch basin where heat exchangers remove heat before draining or reuse in flushing a toilet.

Feed water supplementary thermal exchange apparatus, system and method

A heat exchange system for transferring heat energy to control the temperature of a building comprising: a first heat exchanger having a first and second inlet and a first and second outlet wherein waste water flows through said first inlet of said first heat exchanger and out said first outlet while a water supply flows through said second inlet through said first heat exchanger and out said second outlet so as to transfer heat energy between said waste water and said water supply; and a second heat exchanger having a first and second inlet and a first and second outlet wherein domestic water flows through said first inlet, through said second heat exchanger and out said first outlet while said water supply from said second outlet of said first heat exchanger flows through said second inlet, through said second heat exchanger and out said second outlet so as to further transfer heat energy between said domestic water and said water supply from said second outlet of said second heat exchanger and control the temperature of said building.

ENERGY RECOVERY SYSTEM FOR HEATED WATER
20230077344 · 2023-03-16 ·

A free-standing Energy Recovery System enables sanitary recovery of thermal energy with heat transfer from hot waste effluent to incoming domestic water. The source of the effluent may, for example, be conventional commercial ware-washing, clothes washing equipment, pasteurization and other industrial processes.

Liquid Heating Appliance

A liquid heating appliance for heating water or other liquids, suitably to a target temperature of from 55° C. to around boiling point, includes a primary heat chamber or body (heat source chamber) that is thermally insulated and which in use contains a high thermal density heat storing liquid or solid; and a secondary chamber alongside the primary chamber through which a liquid to be heated is passed in use. The appliance has a heat transfer feature to selectively transfer thermal energy from the heat-storing liquid or solid to the liquid to be heated in the secondary chamber. The secondary chamber is preferably a conduit through which the liquid to be heated is able to flow and the thus heated liquid can be delivered to a tap as hot water for a range of uses. Water may also be heated for a central heating system for space heating.

District public water supply pipe network system compatible for source side water for ground source heat pump system and reclaomed water

A district public water supply pipe network system compatible for ground source heat pump water and reclaimed water comprises a water supply main pipe connected with a reclaimed water outlet side of a sewage treatment system and connected to a plurality of energy stations and a plurality of transmission and distribution station, and a return water main pipe arranged between the adjacent energy stations to connect them. The energy stations are provided with a plurality of shallow geothermal heat exchange system for exchanging heat with shallow geothermal energy in the region. Both the energy stations and the transmission and distribution station are connected with corresponding distribution pipe networks connected with a user terminal water supply system. The system provides the source side water and the reclaimed water to users. It is a district public geothermal pipe network and a reclaimed water pipe network.

System for energy recovery and cleaning of heat exchangers in shower applications

A system is provided for heat recovery from shower greywater. An outlet for greywater is connected to a heat exchanger's inlet for greywater and the heat exchanger is designed so that a cold supply water flows in the opposite direction through the heat exchanger relative to the relatively hot greywater, so that heat exchange works under a counterflow principle and heat energy is transferred from the hot greywater to the cold supply water. A manifold having a nozzle outlet for hot supply water is connected to a waste pipe so that the manifold nozzle outlet for hot supply water opens into the waste pipe at a position downstream of the waste pipe inlet for greywater but upstream of the waste pipe outlet for greywater.

EVAPORATOR

An evaporator (10) includes a substantially plate-like body member (12) defining an operatively outer surface (14) and an operatively inner surface (16), both surfaces (14, 16) being substantially smooth to inhibit detritus from attaching to the body member (12). The body member (12) is shaped to cause incoming fluid from which heat is to be extracted, in use, to follow an extended, circuitous path past the body member (12) initially along the outer (surface 14) of the body member (12) prior to the fluid impinging on the inner surface (16) of the body member (12).
