Hot water recirculation system
A hot water recirculation system for a house or other building causes water to be recirculated to a water heater for reheating until the water is above a set-point temperature at which time the heated water is made available for use at a faucet or other hot water plumbing fixture. Recirculation of hot water takes place only when there is demand for hot water at a hot water plumbing fixture. A flow switching module for use in the hot water recirculation system can selectively direct water supplied to the flow switching module from a water heater either to a hot water plumbing fixture or to return piping for returning the water to the water heater. The flow switching module may be operated manually, automatically, or semi-automatically.

Control process of a thermal plant including a distribution circuit for a carrier fluid having a delivery line and a return line, a central thermal treatment group placed on the circuit, and channels, each of which is hydraulically interposed between the delivery line and the return line to serve respective environments. For each of the channels, the plant includes a respective exchange unit, a flow regulator to regulate a flow rate of carrier fluid through in the respective channel, an ambient temperature detector, a temperature detector of the carrier fluid for detecting a delivery temperature of the carrier fluid in each channel, and a return temperature of the carrier fluid in each channel. The process also includes a thermal optimization procedure as a function of ambient temperature, delivery temperature and return temperature of the carrier fluid.
Modular Hydronic Heating System Core
A modular hydronic system core system and method includes a hydronic fluid flow conduit with closely spaced tees and distribution supply and return portions on a substrate. A supply manifold is coupled to branch feeders that support a circulator pump or zone valve. An ECM circulator along the conduit includes a Bluetooth transmitter to capture and transmit fluid flow rate and pressure. A return manifold includes branch returns with purge/shutoff valves. The branch feeders and returns are connectable to a distribution system having heating elements. Air and dirt separators, and an iron remover remove air, dirt and iron from the fluid. An expansion tank bracket supports a pressure gauge and expansion tank. A zone relay is coupled to the ECM circulator and zone valves on the branch feeders, and includes thermostat terminals. The zone relay captures inputs from the thermostats to control operation of the ECM circulator and zone valves.
Method and system for heating water
A method of heating water in a water storage tank. The method includes: selecting an outlet port and an inlet port from at least three ports located in the tank at different heights along a vertical direction. The outlet port is below the inlet port. The method further includes extracting water from the outlet port, supplying the extracted water to an external heat exchanger configured for heating the extracted water, and delivering heated water from the heat exchanger to the selected inlet port.
RECEIVER, CONNECTION METHOD THEREOF, RECEIVER ASSEMBLY AND HEAT PUMP SYSTEM
A receiver, a receiver assembly and a heat pump system. The receiver includes a first pipe, a second pipe and a third pipe leading to the cavity of the receiver, wherein the first pipe, the second pipe and the third pipe connect to a first load unit, a second load unit and a cold and heat source unit, respectively.
Slidable mounting block for insertion into a rail, fixing arrangement for a technical installation and their use
The present invention relates to a slidable mounting block for insertion into a rail having a partially closed profile, the mounting block having a front face and a rear face opposite to the front face, the front face facing an open part of the partially closed profile when inserted into the rail. The mounting block comprises a first hole accessible from the front face in a first fixing area of the mounting block and configured for screwing in a threaded part of a first fastener, a recess accessible from the rear face in a second fixing area of the mounting block and configured for holding a head of a second fastener, and a second hole accessible from the front face in the second fixing area, the second hole being co-aligned with the recess and configured for passing a shaft of the second fastener through the mounting block.
Method and devices for controlling a fluid transportation network
A fluid transportation network (1) comprises a plurality of parallel zones (Z1, Z2), fed by a common supply line (L), with a regulating zone valve (V1, V2) in each zone (Z1, Z2) for regulating a flow of fluid (ϕ.sub.1, ϕ.sub.2) through the respective zone (Z1, Z2). A processing unit (RE) receives valve positions (pos.sub.1, pos.sub.2) of the regulating zone valves (V1, V2) and determines and sets an adjusted valve position for a line valve (VE) arranged in the supply line (L), depending on the valve positions (pos.sub.1, pos.sub.2) of the regulating zone valves (V1, V2). A processing unit (RE) further receives a measurement of a total flow of fluid (ϕ.sub.tot) through the supply line (L) and determines and sets adjusted valve positions for the regulating zone valves (V1, V2), depending on the measurement of the total flow of fluid (ϕ.sub.tot) through the supply line (L).
Tankless water heater and manifold system
A tankless water heater and manifold system is provided. The system includes a self-contained unit for providing hot water distribution throughout the system. The unit includes a tankless water heater having a hot water outlet pipe with outlet ports that function as a built-in manifold for distributing water directly from the unit through hot water lines that connect each plumbing fixture in the system directly to the unit.

The invention relates to a method for the operation of a mixing device in a heating facility, in which mixing device two heating medium flows of different temperatures are mixed for adjusting the temperature of the heating medium, wherein the mixing device comprises at least one circulation pump assembly (24; 46) which delivers the heating medium, wherein the at least one circulation pump assembly (24; 46) is regulated in its speed in dependence on a temperature value which is detected in the heating medium, as well as to a mixing device for mixing the heating medium flows.
RESPONSE SLOPE BASED HYDRONIC CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A heating system is configured to optimize the speed and accuracy of the system in achieving various ambient air temperature setpoints, by modulating the heated water supply water setpoint to optimize the slope of the system's response curve. Optimized response curves are automatically determined by analyzing differences between ambient air temperatures over time in response to modulated supply water temperatures as they are reset upward or downward to achieve response times prioritized for improved occupant comfort. The controller of the heating system calculates a temperature slope, and adjusts the supply water setpoint to increase/decrease the speed of ambient temperature rise to achieve a desired slope.
