Exhaust demand control system and methods
Methods and apparatus for an exhaust demand control system for measuring one or more contaminants at one or more exhaust locations within one or a plurality of exhaust ducts or plenums served by an exhaust fan system. Example systems and methods can include sensing the one or more contaminants within the one or more exhaust duct locations using a multipoint air sampling system having one or more sensors and comparing contaminant concentration measurements from the one or more of said exhaust duct or plenum locations against an action level to create a fan setback signal.
HVAC zoning devices, systems, and methods
A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system may be zoned into one or more zone. The HVAC system may include HVAC components, sensors, and one or more register vents that may include vent dampers (e.g., electronically controllable vent dampers or manually operated vent dampers). Opening and closing of the vent dampers may facilitate creating zones or sub-zones in the HVAC system configuration. An HVAC control system may receive a request for conditioned air in one or more of the zones, determine a damper setting for at least one of the vent dampers, communicate the determined damper setting to a vent damper or user interface, determine which HVAC components should be active, if any, and/or provide controls signals to activate or keep active the HVAC components that are determined to be active.
Systems and methods for HVAC filter replacement type recommendation
An HVAC system within a building including an HVAC device having an air filter, a number of sensors, and a control device. The control device has a processor that is configured to determine a current air quality metric based on air quality measurements received by the sensor. The control device is further configured to calculate an average air quality metric based on the current air quality metric and a set of previous air quality metrics. The control device is further configured to store the average air quality metric. The control device is further configured to generate an air filter type recommendation based on the average air quality metric.
Air cleaner
An air cleaner is provided that may include a first air cleaning module having a first fan that generates air flow from a first suction inlet toward a first discharge outlet; a second air cleaning module having a second fan that generates air flow from a second suction inlet toward a second discharge outlet; a dividing plate provided between the first air cleaning module and the second air cleaning module; and a display provided at inside of the dividing plate and in which a light source is provided.
Artificial intelligence air conditioner and method for calibrating sensor data of air conditioner
Provided is an artificial intelligence air conditioner for calibrating sensor data. The artificial intelligence air conditioner includes a sensor unit configured to acquire sensor data; a communication unit configured to receive at least one of external sensor data or environment information from at least one of an external air conditioner or an internet of things (IoT) device; and a processor. The processor is configured to generate estimated sensor data corresponding to the sensor unit using a sensor data estimation model, the received external sensor data and the received environment information, determine whether the acquired sensor data is abnormal using the generated estimated sensor data, perform an air conditioning function using the acquired sensor data if the acquired sensor data is determined as normal, and perform the air conditioning function using the generated estimated sensor data if the acquired sensor data is determined as abnormal.
Air sterilization insert for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
An airflow sterilizing unit configured to airflow in a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system is disclosed. The airflow sterilizing unit includes a portion of a duct at least partially lined with an ultraviolet (UV) reflective material, a plurality of hollow structures positioned within the portion of the duct, each comprising an external UV reflective surface, and at least one array of UV light emitting diodes (LEDs) mounted on a surface of at least one of the plurality of hollow structures. The sterilizing unit is configured to replace a section of an existing duct in the HVAC system such that air within the HVAC system passes through the sterilizing unit before exiting from one or more vent.
Floor and air cleaning systems and related methods
An autonomous cleaning robot includes a drive system to move the autonomous cleaning robot about a floor surface in a space, a cleaning system to clean a floor surface in the space as the drive system moves the autonomous cleaning robot about the floor surface, and a controller configured to execute instructions to perform one or more operations. The one or more operations include initiating a cleaning mission to clean the floor surface in the space, and transmitting a signal to control an operation of an air purifier remote from the autonomous cleaning robot as the autonomous cleaning robot performs the cleaning mission
System, method and apparatus for augmenting a building management system with indoor air quality sensor information
A system, method and apparatus for augmenting a building control system domain. A sensor network platform can be configured to collect data based on measurements from sensors outside of a legacy building control system domain, and to present information based on the collected data to a known interface supported by the legacy building control system. In one embodiment, the collected data can undergo customized processing by an operation center outside of the legacy building control system domain.
Air purifier filter system, an air purifier and a method for controlling an air purifier
An air purifier filter system comprises an air purifier filter unit and a machine readable identifier which provides information concerning the filter unit type and performance information specific to a target pollutant to be filtered by said air purifier filter unit from a plurality of different pollutants that can be filtered by that filter unit type. This information can be used to provide an end of life prediction for the filter unit or provide advice that the filter should be changed for other reasons. This enables the user to be given advance warning, and to be given instructions when it is time to change the filter unit. The instructions to change the filter unit may be more accurate than a simple timer as they can take account of the type of filter unit and the performance information. In some examples the use history of the filter unit may also be used to predict the time when it should be changed.
Air conditioning system and method for controlling same
Air conditioning system and a method for controlling same. The air conditioning system is configured to carry out air conditioning in indoor space, and includes an indoor unit body. The indoor unit body includes a cavity and a heat exchanger arranged inside the cavity. The air conditioning system further includes at least one return air inlet connecting the indoor space to the cavity. The at least one return air inlet includes a first return air inlet, and the first return air inlet is located at a lower portion of the indoor space.
