ELECTROACTIVE POLYMER VALVE
A fluidic valve system comprises a housing, a shell mounted to the housing, a vent for allowing fluid to enter the housing in a high pressure zone, at least one Dielectric Elastomer Actuator (DEA) flap forming a seal with the shell, wherein applying a voltage to the DEA flap causes the DEA flap to open the seal with the shell so that fluid can exit through a low pressure zone created between the shell and the DEA flap, and a power supply for supplying the voltage to the DEA flap.
Floor air diffuser
An air diffuser configured to be positioned in a raised floor, in which the air diffuser includes a sleeve having a first end and a second end with an air flow passage extending through the sleeve from the first end to the second end, a diffuser face disposed at the first end of the sleeve and configured to be exposed to an environment in an installed position within the raised floor, a damper disposed at the second end of the sleeve, and a plenum chamber defined within the sleeve between the damper and the diffuser face.
Adjustable regulator and lock device for ductwork damper
An adjustable regulator and lock device for a pivotally rotatable damper adapted for installation in an air duct of an HVAC system is disclosed, which includes a pivot rod rotatably attached to the air duct and arranged for rotation with the damper. The pivot rod has coupled to it, a lockdown member having a plurality of radially extending teeth extending outwardly therefrom. A plate member is fixedly spaced from the air duct and has a plurality of correspondingly shaped and dimensioned tooth-shaped cutouts adapted to receive the teeth of the lockdown member to selectively lock the rotational position of the pivot rod and the damper in a selected angular orientation. The teeth of the lockdown member are biased by a coil spring toward engagement with the cutouts of the plate member, and yet selectively releaseable therefrom. The invention provides secure and locked positioning of the damper.
Fluid Distribution Device
A fluid distribution device that includes a distributor housing having at least one fluid inlet opening and at least one fluid outlet opening; and at least one rotary, elongated hollow element having a wall that has one or more fluid-passage openings, a fluid flow through the distributor housing is changed by rotating the at least one hollow element.
VENTILATION REGULATION SYSTEM, AIR REGULATION APPARATUS FOR USE THEREWITH AND DRUM SEGMENT FORMING PART OF THE REGULATION APPARATUS
The ventilation regulation system comprises a ventilation duct including a ventilation opening through a separating wall of the ventilation duct. An air regulation apparatus is provided within the ventilation opening for regulating the air flow therethrough, and comprises a modular air regulation drum member that has a number of rotatable drum segments that can each rotate to adjustably block or deflect the air flow through the ventilation opening such that at least one among the direction, the speed and the debit rate of air is controlled through the ventilation opening. A mechanical coupling mechanically links the drum segments of the drum member into a coordinated rotational movement. An actuator acting on at least one, but not all, of the drum segments of the drum member, rotates one of the drum segments, with the mechanical coupling allowing all drum segments to be rotated when that one drum segment is rotated.
AIR DUCT DAMPER
An air damper assembly for an air duct having an interior wall and an exterior wall is provided. The air damper assembly includes a damper plate having a periphery and multiple teeth spaced at least partially around and extending from the periphery. The multiple teeth vary in length from a maximum to a minimum over a span of approximately 90 degrees around the periphery. The air damper assembly further includes an axle assembly fixedly coupled to the damper plate and rotatably coupled to the air duct. Rotation of the axle assembly causes the damper plate to rotate within the air duct between a fully open position and a fully closed position to increase or decrease a flow of fluid through the air duct.

VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REGULATING AIR OPENING
A ventilation and air conditioning system includes: a ventilation and air conditioning body; and an air-opening varying component provided at a ventilation outlet of the ventilation and air conditioning body.
Environmental Control and Air Distribution System and Method of Using the Same
An indoor environmental control and air distribution system for a building includes: an air handling unit; a manifold connected to the air handling unit having a chamber formed by a plurality of walls and a plurality of orifices formed through at least one of the walls; air distribution conduits each independently having a first end connected to the orifices of the manifold and a second end extending out from the manifold into different zones throughout the building; and an airflow modulating device having one or more airflow regulating dampers independently configured to move into at least two positions in which each position provides a different percentage of total air volume to each air distribution conduit. A method of using the indoor environmental control and air distribution system is also included.
