Multi-zone variable refrigerant flow heating/cooling unit
A method for air conditioning including installing an air conditioning unit at a desired location. The air conditioning unit includes a housing that has air supply inlets and exhaust air outlets. The housing encloses a mode control unit that switches a zone coil associated with a zone from a cooling mode to a heating mode by switching from a cooling medium to a heating medium flowing through the zone coil. The zone coil receives the heating or cooling medium and conditions incoming air from a supply fan to be exhausted in a zone associated with the zone coil. A variable refrigerant flow cooling/heating unit provides a cooling medium or a heating medium at varying rates to control a temperature of a zone.
HUMIDIYING UNIT
A humidifying unit humidifies a target space, and includes an adsorption member haying moisture adsorption and release areas, a heater that heats the moisture release area, fans to generate an air flow, a housing, an electric component including a heat generating component, and a cooler to air-cool the heat generating component. The housing accommodates the adsorption member, the heater, and the fans. The housing has a humidifying air path through which air taken from outside the housing by the fans is discharged outside the housing via the adsorption member, and a cooling air path in which the to cooler is disposed and air taken from outside the housing by the fans is joined with the humidifying air path. A route of air passing through the humidifying air path from the cooling air path and being discharged outside the housing does not pass through the moisture adsorption area of the adsorption member.
Air conditioning system and control method thereof
An air conditioning control system includes a casing including paths through which air passes, dampers arranged at an entrance and an exit of each of the paths and operated to open or close the entrance and the exit according to a control signal, a heat and mass exchanger including a hygroscopic material for absorbing moisture and arranged across the paths to be rotated with respect to the casing, a driving unit rotating the heat and mass exchanger, a heat exchange unit having a heat transfer medium flowing inside the heat exchange unit and arranged on at least one of the paths, and a controller opening or closing the entrance and the exit of the paths by applying a control signal to the dampers, and changing a rotation speed of the heat and mass exchanger by applying a control signal to the driving unit, according to operation modes.
Fresh Air Conditioning System
A fresh air conditioning system includes a first cooling device having a first cooling end and a first heating end; a dehumidifying rotary defining a first section and a second section. An airflow switching device directs a fresh airflow toward the first cooling end or the first heating end, and then flows to the first section. A return airflow passes through a first heat exchanger, and conducts heat exchange with the other end of the first cooling device, and then flows to the second section. Or switching opposite ends of the first cooling device to selectively cool or heat, the fresh airflow conducts heat exchange with one end of the first cooling device, and then flows to the first section. The return airflow conducts heat exchange with the other end of the cooling device and then flows to the second section.
Dehumidifying air handling unit and desiccant wheel therefor
A dehumidifying air handling unit for an HVACR system includes a housing, a desiccant wheel, and a cooling heat exchanger. A main airflow path extending through the housing from an air inlet to and air discharged outlet of the housing. The desiccant wheel includes a first end and a second end that are each disposed in the main airflow path and a metal organic framework desiccant that is moved between the first end and the second end. A desiccant wheel includes a metal organic framework desiccant disposed on a surface of the desiccant wheel. Rotation of the desiccant wheel moves a position of the surface between a first end and a second end of the desiccant wheel. The metal organic framework desiccant has an majority absorption-desorption operating band of 25% relative humidity or less.
Integrated chilled beam / chiller direct outside air system unit
An air handling system is disclosed that includes an integral chilled water refrigeration system. The air handling system additionally includes a first coil section that provides cooling and a second coil section that provides heating. The second coil section and associated terminal units are in fluid communication with the first refrigeration system.
Dual-wheel HVAC system and method having improved frost resistance
An improved HVAC system and method for simultaneously controlling the temperature and humidity of an indoor space while providing high quantities of outdoor air is described herein. The HVAC system of the present invention utilizes a heating source positioned in the supply passageway between an energy recovery wheel and a dehumidification wheel in order to control the temperature and humidity of air supplied to the indoor space while preventing frost build-up on the energy recover wheel. By positioning a heating source between the energy recovery wheel and a dehumidification wheel, the system is able to prevent frost accumulation on the energy recovery wheel during winter operation while also increasing the relative humidity of the supply air.
Dual-wheel HVAC system and method having improved dew point control
A dedicated outdoor air system and method that is capable of operating over a broader spectrum of conditions. The HVAC system of the present invention utilizes a heating means positioned within the return air passageway in order to optimize the regeneration of the desiccant wheel and energy recovery device. By positioning a heating means upstream of the regeneration side of the desiccant wheel, the system is capable of providing supply air having low dew points to the enclosed space while still providing improved energy efficiency over conventional HVAC systems.
Process Gas Treatment Device and Method for Treating Process Gas
A process gas treatment device for a process gas for treating a process material in a process apparatus and a method for treating process gas for the treatment of a process material in a process apparatus during a drying phase and a cooling phase.
Thermoelectric Air Conditioning System with Integrated Solid Desiccant-Based Dehumidification for Separate Sensible and Latent Cooling
A novel cooling system is disclosed. It includes one or more thermoelectric (TE) modules, each TE module having at least one semiconductor element located between two ceramic plates. The ceramic plates also include one or more electrodes. The cooling system further includes one or more heat exchangers, where the heat exchangers are in contact with at least one ceramic plate. In addition, the system includes one or more solid desiccant-based dehumidification compartments. Further, the cooling system is configured to direct air over both the TE modules and the desiccant dehumidifier.
