A portable air filtration apparatus capable of rapid and efficient room air turnover and recirculation of filtered and decontaminated air with eradication of both microorganisms and biological agents. The invention relates to a compact device that can be used in ultra-clean air purification using a multi stage electrostatic precipitation and air filtration with disinfection and eradication of both microorganisms and biological agents by the application of ultraviolet light radiation. It can be used in any application where space, lower cost or ultra-fine particulate filtering is needed; such as in clean rooms and surgical suites. The device is extremely efficient for purifying contaminated air from entrained dust and organic substances without using chemicals and physical filters, and it is hygienic and fireproof. AIR CONDITIONER

The present invention relates to an air conditioner including a dust collecting filter assembly for collecting foreign substance from the air sucked in through an inlet. The dust collecting filter assembly includes a high-voltage electrode film, a ground electrode films alternately disposed to face the high-voltage electrode film, a separator film disposed between the high-voltage electrode film and the grounding electrode film so that the high-voltage electrode film and the grounding electrode film are spaced apart by a predetermined interval, and a fastening part to fasten the high-voltage electrode film, the ground electrode film, and the separator film together and integrate them. With this configuration, it is possible to simplify the manufacturing process of the dust collecting filter assembly provided in the air conditioner, minimize the distance between the high-voltage electrode film and the ground electrode film, and improve the dust collection performance by improving a dust collection area by the separator film.

The present disclosure is directed methods and apparatus that improve the energy efficiency of an air filtration apparatus while maintaining a high level of filtration capabilities. Air filtration apparatus consistent with the present disclosure may include an input, a fan, a pre-filter, and electrical conductors that provide a high voltage used to charge particles in an air flow. This apparatus may also include a secondary filter that traps charged particles. The pre-filter may filter air using conventional means, where a high energy electric field generated by high voltage conductors may charge particles in the air such that those particles may clump together and be captured in the secondary filter. These clumping effects may allow a less dense filter media to capture particles that would otherwise pass through the less dense filter. Micro-organisms attached to the captured particles may be degraded or destroyed after they are captured in the secondary filter.

The ionizer feedback control converts high-voltage signals to feedback signals to monitor the corresponding high-voltage signals and compares the feedback signals to a first specification to determine whether the feedback signals are within the first specification. The ionizer varies a frequency and a duty cycle of a digital signal to control an excitation signal for a step-up transformer and modulates the frequency and the duty cycle of a step-up transformer output voltage to consistently maintain the feedback signals within the first specification and maintain the high-voltage signals within a second specification to generate consistent ion concentrations over a range of electrical signal inputs. The microprocessor calculates and reports high-voltage signals, and ion concentrations based on feedback signals. The microprocessor monitors concentrations of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in an airflow serving the ionizer and adjusts the high-voltage signals and ion concentration when VOC concentrations are above a threshold.

An air cleaner is provided with a drone and a dust collector. The drone has a main body unit and propellers attached to the tips of frames. The dust collector has electric discharge electrodes and a dust collection electrode. The electric discharge electrodes are connected to a booster unit within a central chamber. The booster unit is electrically connected to a control unit in the main body unit. Electric discharge is formed between the dust collection electrode and the electric discharge electrodes, and dust particles in the air are charged and collected by the dust collection electrode.

The electrostatic dust collection apparatus of the invention includes a sheet collection electrode, an insulative bearing member and a plurality of discharge electrodes. A first surface of the sheet collection electrode faces and is parallel to a second surface of the insulative bearing member. A plurality of grooves are formed on and across the second surface of the insulative bearing member, and are parallel to one another. Each discharge electrode corresponds to one of the grooves, and is disposed in the corresponding groove. An air passage is defined between the sheet collection electrode and the insulative bearing member, and allows an air to be treated to pass through. The discharge electrodes charge a plurality of floating particles in the air to be treated. The sheet collection electrode collects the charged particles.
