The heat exchange unit includes a plate type heat exchanger by laminating vertically-upright rectangular plates with gaps, and is configured to heat the heat medium by causing the combustion gas and the heat medium to alternately flow through the gaps. An inlet for the heat medium is provided at lower corner of the plate type heat exchanger, a discharge opening for the heat medium is provided at upper corner farthest from the inlet, and a hot water passage through which hot water flows in the plate type heat exchanger is provided at upper corner above the inlet.

Water heating apparatus and method for controlling the apparatus

A water heating apparatus includes a sensor to detect an inflow water amount flowing into the water heating apparatus, and a controller to determine connection or disconnection between the water heating apparatus and a water storage tank, based on the inflow water amount flowing into the water heating apparatus for a preset time duration. Thus, the water heating apparatus determines whether or not the water storage tank is connected thereto based on the amount of inflow water introduced into the water heating apparatus. Then, the water heating apparatus determines the operation mode of the water heating apparatus based on the determination result. Thus, even when the user incorrectly sets the operation mode of the water heating apparatus, the water heating apparatus may actively and correctly operate.

The present disclosure discloses a combustion chamber and a combustion apparatus. The combustion chamber includes: a first surrounding plate located on an outer side and a second surrounding plate located on an inner side. A combustion cavity is defined by the second surrounding plate. The first surrounding plate and the second surrounding plate are spaced apart from each other to define at least one air duct in communication with the combustion cavity. Each of the at least one air duct has an air inlet hole formed in the first surrounding plate, and an air outlet hole formed in the second surrounding plate.

Gas manifold

A gas manifold allows each distribution chamber to be fed with fuel gas at an appropriate flow rate irrespective of an increase in the number of distribution chambers included in the gas manifold. A gas manifold distributes fuel gas flowing in through an inlet to a plurality of distribution chambers through a main channel. The main channel includes a flow guide that guides the fuel gas toward a maximum distribution chamber and reduces the fuel gas flowing into other distribution chambers. This allows fuel gas at a sufficient flow rate to be fed more easily to the maximum distribution chamber than to the other distribution chambers for a larger number of distribution chambers included in the gas manifold, allowing the plurality of distribution chambers to be fed with fuel gas at appropriate flow rates.

HEATING WATER HEATER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM

Disclosed are a method for controlling a heating water heater, a heating water heater, and a computer-readable storage medium. The method includes: controlling the heating outlet to be closed and the heat supply outlet to be opened after receiving a bath water signal; obtaining a water temperature of a bath outlet; obtaining a duration that the water temperature at the bath outlet is within a preset water temperature range; controlling an opening degree of the heat supply outlet to decrease and an opening degree of the heating outlet to increase when the duration is greater than or equal to a first preset duration, and a heat load of the heating water heater is less than a rated load; and controlling the heat load of the heating water heater to increase, and maintaining the water temperature at the bath outlet within the preset water temperature range.

Methods and system for controlling a combination boiler
11603996 · 2023-03-14 · ·

A combination boiler provides heated water to a boiler loop and domestic hot water (DHW) to a domestic water loop. The combination boiler includes a primary heat exchanger (PHE) connected to the boiler loop and a burner to provide heat to the primary heat exchanger. A secondary heat exchanger (SHE) transfers heat energy from the boiler loop to the domestic water loop. A controller monitors a PHE inlet temperature and a DHW output temperature, obtains a pre-heat initialization temperature threshold and a pre-heat cancellation temperature threshold, and detects a low temperature condition. A pre-heat operation is initiated responsive to the low temperature condition by circulating heated water from the PHE to the SHE. The burner is selectively fired at least in part according to an outlet temperature of the PHE.

Integrated uninterruptible power supplies for appliances

A water heater can include a housing and a heating system disposed within the housing, where the heating system is configured to heat a fluid. The water heater can also include a switch coupled to the heating system, where the switch operates between a first position during normal operations and a second position during an outage. The water heater can further include a primary power source coupled to the switch, where the primary power source is configured to provide primary power to the heating system through the switch during the normal operations. The water heater can also include an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) coupled to the switch, where the UPS is configured to provide reserve power to the heating system through the switch during the outage, and where the UPS is integrated with the housing.

Hybrid heater

A water heater includes a first heater, a second heater, and a controller. The controller can enable different operational modes of the water heater, wherein only the first heater operates, only the second heater operates, or both the first and the second heaters operate. The controller can also be configured to enable a hybrid operational mode and a bypass operational mode. Further, in the different operational modes, the controller can direct water flow to at least one of a first conduit coupled to the first heater, a second conduit coupled to the second heater, and a bypass conduit. The controller can be configured to receive input signals relating to environmental conditions around the water heater and/or an aquatic system in which the water heater is installed.
