WATER MANAGEMENT HEADER FOR A BOILER OR WATER HEATER

Disclosed is an inventive water management header and method for making the same. The water management header is attached to a boiler or water heater. The water management header includes a cylindrical shell that at least partially defines an interior region. Inner and outer series of heat exchange tubes extend within the interior region of the shell from a lower end of the shell to an upper end of the shell. The header is capable of being configured to provide a unique fluid flow pattern through the boiler or water heater relative to another water heater or boiler of similar design via a waterway primary inlet, outlet, a plurality of crossovers and a plurality of barriers.

Heat exchanger and method for its manufacture

A heat exchanger for heating a liquid is provided, in particular, for high-pressure cleaners, including an inner and an outer heating coil which each have a plurality of turns, and including spacers which are arranged between the inner heating coil and the outer heating coil and are distributed over the circumference of the inner heating coil. To develop the heat exchanger in such a way that it can be manufactured more cost-effectively and is highly efficient, at least one turn of the outer heating coil includes between two spacers immediately adjacent to each other a first turn section in which the radial spacing from the inner heating coil is smaller or larger than in the region of the spacers. Two methods for manufacturing such a heat exchanger are also provided.

Water heater including heat exchanger

In a primary heat exchanger, a heat conduction pipe is arranged as one connected pipe in a lower stage and an upper stage in a manner extending back and forth through a plurality of fins. The heat conduction pipe is arranged such that a pitch between the heat conduction pipes in the upper stage is shorter than a pitch between the heat conduction pipes in the lower stage. In addition, the heat conduction pipe is arranged such that a position in a center of each heat conduction pipe in the upper stage in a second direction orthogonal to a first direction in which the heat conduction pipe extends and a position in a center of each heat conduction pipe in the lower stage in the second direction are displaced from each other.

A water heater includes a primary heat exchanger, a secondary heat exchanger disposed above the primary heat exchanger, a flow path member, and a flow restriction member. The secondary heat exchanger includes a case and heat transfer pipes arranged in the case. The case includes a wall having a gas inlet through which combustion exhaust gas discharged from the primary heat exchanger is introduced into the case. The flow path member connects the primary heat exchanger and the secondary heat exchanger and is disposed adjacent to the gas inlet and is configured to introduce the combustion exhaust gas discharged from the primary heat exchanger into the secondary heat exchanger through the gas inlet. The flow restriction member is disposed on the wall of the case to suppress upward flowing of the combustion exhaust gas that is introduced into the case through the gas inlet.

INLINE HEATER

An inline heater includes a heater core that includes a heat spreader assembly comprising a tubular heat spreader that extends axially along a longitudinal axis and that comprises an external surface. The heat spreader assembly includes a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. At least one conduit extends helically about the longitudinal axis of the heat spreader between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet to define a fluid heating flow path that fluidically connects the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The heat spreader assembly further comprising an electrically operated heating element for heating the heat spreader.
