SOLAR ARRAY LIFTER AND METHOD
A solar array lifting assembly and method. The device and method use a support pole, a pole bracket for supporting a solar array made up of a frame and solar panels, a pole bracket securing mechanism for securing the pole bracket at a predetermined height, and a lifting assembly for lifting the pole bracket and solar array along the support pole.
FASTENING SYSTEM FOR FASTENING A CASING TO A TUBE
A system for fastening a casing to a tube which, according to a first aspect of the invention, includes a claw provided with protuberances, and, according to a second aspect of the invention, comprises an incorporation of first rails on side faces of the casing, and second rails on an upper face of the casing to hook onto the protuberances. The claw can pivot with respect to the first protuberances, both to house the tube and to hook onto the second rail, as well as to surround and press against the tube, once the second rail is hooked. The fastening system allows for a faster and more ergonomic fastening without the use of tools and elements such as connecting screws and bolts.
SPRING LATCH SADDLE CONNECTOR FOR SOLAR TRACKER
Photovoltaic modules are mounted onto a solar tracker array torque tube via pairs or left-handed and right-handed photovoltaic array connectors having spring latch assemblies. The left-handed and right-handed photovoltaic array connectors have orientation projections that couple with and extend into the interior body of the torque tube. The orientation projections on the spring latch assemblies of each pair of left-handed and right-handed photovoltaic array connector allow for the photovoltaic array connectors to fit over and settle on a torque tube, and thereby support and mount a photovoltaic module as part of a solar tracker array.
DEVICE TO REDUCE THE TEMPERATURE OF A SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC PANEL
A device is provided which reduces the temperature of a solar PV panel. The device includes an enclosure comprising a heat sink attachable to a bottom side of the solar PV panel to provide an air channel, and a tornado tube. The tornado pipe may be oriented vertically to the plane of the earth, and may act as a solar chimney, instigating a flow of air to enter the enclosure through an air inlet. This air flow may be drawn across the heat sink and exit back to the atmosphere through the tornado tube.
ULTRA-COMPACT PORTABLE SOLAR-POWERED THERMO-CHEMICAL DECONTAMINATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A system includes a containment vessel configured to receive and retain equipment to be decontaminated. The system also includes a solar reflector configured to reflect solar energy towards the containment vessel in order to heat the containment vessel. The system further includes end supports configured to receive and retain the solar reflector and the containment vessel. The system also includes a base having or coupled to multiple side supports, where each side support is configured to contact and support a corresponding one of the end supports. In addition, the system includes one or more semi-transparent solar shades configured to reduce the solar energy reaching the solar reflector and the containment vessel.
Solar Energy System For Use With Tufted Geosynthetics On Sloping Ground
A solar energy system for use with tufted geosynthetics on sloping ground without the use of a traditional racking system. A frame attaches to the tufted geosynthetic cover to provide a flap and a solar panel secures to the flap directly or through a polymeric layer that attaches to the frame positioned between the flap and the tufted geosynthetic land cover with the solar panel adhesively attached to the polymeric layer. The solar panel being attached to the tufted geosynthetic land cover generates energy upon exposure to light. A method of securing a solar panel to a tufted geosynthetic land cover system for generation of energy is disclosed.
EQUIPMENT MOUNTING SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES THEREOF
An equipment mounting system for mounting equipment to a support structure is described. An equipment mounting system including: (i) a mounting plate having defined therein a plate aperture of a particular shape; (ii) a bolt having a shaft portion including a threaded portion and a non-threaded portion that is of a complementary shape that complements the particular shape of the plate aperture; and (iii) a washer having defined therein a scored aperture that includes multiple radially extending scorings. in an assembled configuration of the mounting plate, the bolt and the washer, the plate aperture of the particular shape aligns with the scoring aperture such that both of the plate aperture and the scoring aperture receive the non-threaded portion of the complementary shape, and the particular shape of the mounting plate engages with the complementary shape of the bolt to prevent rotational displacement of the bolt around the mounting plate.
Photovoltaic support
A photovoltaic support includes a first vertical upright column (110) and a second vertical upright column (120) on a foundation, and a beam (10) respectively hinged with a first end of the first vertical upright column (110) and a first end of the second vertical upright column (120). The photovoltaic support further includes a first movable connecting piece (140) provided on the foundation and connected with a second end of the first vertical upright column (110). The first movable connecting piece (140) is automatically adjusted according to the wind intensity, such that the first vertical upright column (110) moves in a vertical direction to adjust an inclination angle of the beam (130). The photovoltaic support can adjust the angle adaptively in the case of a strong wind, and restore automatically after the strong wind has passed.
