Provided are solar collection energy storage and energy conversion or chemical conversion systems. Also provided are tubing components, such as for solar receivers, including Mo and having a MoSiB coating on an external surface. The systems can include a solar receiver containing a heat transfer material or chemically reacting material and can operate at temperatures of 700° C. or higher. The solar receiver can include tubing components selected from a Mo tubing component, a MAX phase material tubing component, a MoSiB composite tubing component, or a combination thereof. The Mo component, when present, can include a coating on surfaces of the Mo component that operate above 700° C.

NICKEL-CHROMIUM-ALUMINUM ALLOY WITH GOOD PROCESSABILITY, CREEP RESISTANCE, AND CORROSION RESISTANCE, AND USE THEREOF
A nickel-chromium-aluminum alloy includes (in mass %) 12 to 30% chromium, 1.8 to 4.0% aluminum, 0.1 to 7.0% iron, 0.001 to 0.50% silicon, 0.001 to 2.0% manganese, 0.00 to 1.00% titanium, 0.00 to 1.10% niobium, 0.00 to 0.5% copper, 0.00 to 5.00% cobalt, in each case 0.0002 to 0.05% magnesium and/or calcium, 0.001 to 0.12% carbon, 0.001 to 0.050% nitrogen, 0.001 to 0.030% phosphorus, 0.0001 to 0.020% oxygen, max. 0.010% sulfur, max. 2.0% molybdenum, max. 2.0% tungsten, and a remainder of nickel with a minimum content of 50% and the usual process-related impurities for use in solar power towers, using chloride and/or carbonate salt melts as a heat transfer medium, wherein in order to ensure a good processability, the following condition must be met: F.sub.V 0.9 with F.sub.V=4.88050−0.095546*Fe−0.0178784*Cr−0.992452*Al−1.51498*Ti−0.506893*Nb+0.0426004*Al*Fe, where Fe, Cr, Al, Ti, and Nb are the concentration of the respective elements in mass %.

Soleric Process for Enhancing Steam and Super-heated Steam Production from Small Concentrated Solar Power and Renewable Energy.
A process for enhancing boiling to generate steam and superheated-steam by using renewable energy from Concentrated Solar Power. Steam can generate electricity, heating and cooling, sterilization, and other processes and products. The embodiment is made of a light weight small assembly and rotates on the X and Y axis to align with the solar radiation. The assembly has a steam generation unit (28) with Fresnel lenses affixed to concentrate the solar radiation and generate heat. The focal point of the radiation being concentrated is directed to the inner side of a glass tube (30) covered with nanoparticles. The surface area being heated by the solar radiation is increased by the use of nano articles. Water atomization/aerosol unit (60) creates reduced size water droplets that are channeled to glass tube (30) and put into contact with the heated nanoparticles. The atomized/aerosol water droplets help reduce heat dissipation.

A thermal cell panel system for heating and cooling using a refrigerant includes a plurality of solar thermal cell chambers, and a piping network for a flow of the refrigerant through the plurality of solar thermal cell chambers. In addition, the system includes a compressor having a motor coupled to a variable frequency drive (“VFD”), where the compressor is coupled to the piping network upstream of the plurality of solar thermal cell chambers and the VFD is configured to adjust a speed of the motor in response to the pressure of the refrigerant within the plurality of solar thermal cell chambers. The piping network includes an inlet manifold coupled to the inlet of each solar thermal cell chamber, and an outlet manifold coupled to the outlet of each solar cell chamber.
