APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR HEATING WATER WITH REFRIGERANT AND PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL
An apparatus for heating water has a tank for storing water and an air conditioning system that defines a refrigerant flow path through which refrigerant flows. The refrigerant flow path passes through a heat exchanger so that refrigerant heat is contributed to the tank. The heat exchanger houses a phase change material. A controller controls operation of the water heating apparatus.
COMPOSITIONS OF HFO-1234YF AND R-161 AND SYSTEMS FOR USING THE COMPOSITIONS
Environmentally friendly refrigerant blends utilizing blends including 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234yf) and fluoroethane (HFC-161). The blends have ultra-low GWP, low toxicity, and low flammability with low temperature glide or nearly negligible glide for use in a hybrid, mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or full electric vehicles for thermal management (transferring heat from one part of the vehicle to the other) of the passenger compartment providing air conditioning (A/C) or heating to the passenger cabin.
Air conditioner
An air conditioner includes an outdoor unit having a compressor and an outdoor heat exchanger. A ventilator connected to the outdoor unit by refrigerant pipes allows outside air to pass through a heat exchanger and flow into an indoor space, and allows indoor air to pass through the heat exchanger and flow to an outdoor space. The ventilator includes a supply passage through which the outside air flows into the indoor space, and a discharge passage through which the indoor air is discharged to the outdoor space. The ventilaro also includes a main heat exchanger in the supply passage and a recovery heat exchanger in the discharge passage. A refrigerant distributor supplies the refrigerant from the outdoor unit to the main heat exchanger or the recovery heat exchanger, vice-versa. A reheat exchanger in the supply passage heats the air flowing therethrough.
Heat pump system
The present disclosure relates to a heat pump system comprising an outdoor unit disposed in an outdoor space, a plurality of thermal load units supplied with cool air and hot air, and an intermediate unit disposed between the outdoor unit and the plurality of thermal load units, wherein the intermediate unit is connected to the outdoor unit through refrigerant pipes and connected to the plurality of thermal load units through thermal medium pipes.
Refrigeration apparatus
A refrigeration apparatus includes a heat source-side unit and a utilization-side unit that are connected to each other, and performs a refrigeration cycle in which a high pressure of a refrigerant reaches or exceeds a critical pressure. The refrigeration apparatus also includes a control unit configured to perform a first action of returning the refrigerant to the heat source-side unit when a stop condition of the utilization-side unit is satisfied, and a second action of prohibiting the first action when a pressure at the heat source-side unit is equal to or more than the critical pressure of the refrigerant. This configuration suppresses damage to a refrigerant storage reservoir and the like in returning the refrigerant to the heat source-side unit.
Split-Type Air Conditioning and Heat Pump System with Energy Efficient Arrangement
A split-type air conditioning and heat pump system an indoor unit, an outdoor unit and an energy efficient arrangement. The indoor unit includes an indoor housing having an indoor air inlet, and an indoor heat exchanger. The outdoor unit includes an outdoor housing, a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger and a fan unit. The energy efficient arrangement includes an energy saving heat exchanger supported in the indoor housing and connected to the indoor heat exchanger and the outdoor heat exchanger. The energy saving heat exchanger is positioned between the indoor air inlet and the indoor heat exchanger so that air from an indoor space is arranged to pass through the energy saving heat exchanger before reaching the indoor heat exchanger.
Air-conditioning apparatus
An air-conditioning apparatus is capable of completing heat medium freeze prevention control more quickly by performing heat medium temperature rise control for raising the temperature of a cooled heat medium and includes a controller that adjusts a current opening degree of a bypass device at a bypass pipe to an opening degree, and that makes an adjustment such that the flow passage resistance in the case of the opening degree becomes equal to the flow passage resistance in the case of an opening degree before an expansion device is adjusted to a minimum opening degree.
AIR CONDITIONER SYSTEM
An air conditioning system including a four-way valve including a first port, a second port, a third port and a fourth port, at least the first port and the third port are fluidly isolated; a compressor, an output end and an input end of which are in communication with the first port and the third port respectively; a first evaporator, a first end of which is in communication with the third port; a second evaporator and a condenser, first ends of which are in communication with one of the second port and the fourth port respectively; wherein a second end of the condenser, a second end of the first evaporator, and a second end of the second evaporator are in communication at a first node, and a first throttling valve, a second throttling valve and a third throttling valve are respectively disposed between the condenser and the first node.
Hybrid Heat-Pump System
A heat-pump system may include a compressor, an outdoor heating exchanger, an indoor heat exchanger, an expansion device, and a supplemental heater. The outdoor heat exchanger may be in fluid communication with the compressor. The indoor heat exchanger may be in fluid communication with the compressor. The expansion device may be in fluid communication with the indoor and outdoor heat exchangers. The supplemental heater may include a burner and a working-fluid conduit. The burner may be configured to burn a fuel and heat the working-fluid conduit. When the heat-pump system is operating in a heating mode, the indoor heat exchanger may receive working fluid from the working-fluid conduit such that the working fluid flows from an outlet of the working-fluid conduit to an inlet of the indoor heat exchanger.
THERMODYNAMIC HEAT RECOVERY WITHOUT AN ADDITIONAL THERMODYNAMIC CIRCUIT
A refrigerant circuit includes a compressor operable to compress a refrigerant, an expansion valve, an outdoor heat exchanger, an indoor heat exchanger in a fresh air inlet to a conditioned space, a recovery heat exchanger in an extracted air outlet from the conditioned space, and a reversing valve operable to direct a direction of refrigerant flow between a cooling mode and a heating mode.
