The motor controller sets, at the time of startup of the motor, the open-windings mode.

The present disclosure generally relates refrigeration systems for temperature-controlled displays. For instance, one exemplary embodiment relates to a refrigeration system that includes a refrigeration circuit, a cooling circuit, a reclaim heat circuit, and a floor heating system. The refrigeration circuit includes a compressor driven by a brushless DC motor operable at multiple different speeds, a first heat exchanger, an expansion device, and a cooling unit in fluid communication using a first working fluid. The cooling unit is arranged to cool a temperature-controlled storage device. The cooling circuit includes a pump and a second heat exchanger in thermal communication with the first heat exchanger using a second working fluid such that the first heat exchanger is liquid-cooled by the second working fluid. The reclaim heat circuit is in fluid communication with the cooling circuit. The floor heating system is coupled to the heat reclaim circuit as a reclaim heat load.

The air conditioner comprises: a compressor for compressing a refrigerant; a discharge pipe for guiding the refrigerant discharged from the compressor; an accumulator for storing the refrigerant flowing into the compressor from an outdoor heat exchanger or an indoor heat exchanger; a suction pipe for guiding the refrigerant discharged from the accumulator to the compressor; a subcooler disposed in a pipe between the outdoor heat exchanger and the indoor heat exchanger so as to secure a degree of subcooling of the refrigerant; an injection pipe for guiding a refrigerant superheated in the subcooler to the compressor; and a fixing member provided for fixing the discharge pipe, the suction pipe, and the injection pipe together.

A refrigerant compressor group for a refrigeration system, comprising at least two piston compressors that operate in parallel between a common low-pressure connector and a common high-pressure connector, wherein, for the purpose of adjusting it to different requirements, it is provided, in a refrigerant compressor group, for a variable overall mass flow throughput in the refrigerant compressor group to be adjustable in that, in the case of at least one of the piston compressors, its mass flow throughput is adjustable by speed selection with the aid of a frequency converter for the electric motor, and in that, in the case of at least one of the piston compressors, its mass flow throughput is adjustable by cylinder selection, and in that an operating condition controller for the refrigerant compressor group is provided which, on the basis of a performance request signal of the refrigeration system that is transmitted to the operating condition controller, controls the overall mass flow throughput by open or closed-loop control by predetermining the cylinder selection and the speed selection.

A packaged air turnover unit is described herein. The packaged air turnover comprises a compressor and condenser within a housing of the packaged air turnover unit. The packaged air turnover unit further includes one or more heat exchanges to cool air and one or more heaters to heat air, providing either cooling or heating to a space depending on the configuration of the unit.
