Refrigerator having a cold air supply means and control method therefore
A control method for a refrigerator includes sensing a temperature of a storage room; operating a cool air supply at a cooling power when the sensed temperature of the storage room is equal to or above a first reference temperature; operating the cool air supply at a delay power, which is less than the cooling power, when the sensed temperature of the storage room is equal to or below a second reference temperature, which is less than the first reference temperature while the cool air supply is operating at the cooling power; and adjusting the cooling power or the delay power of the cool air supply according to the temperature of the storage room while the cool air supply is operating at the delay power, and operating the cool air supply at the determined adjusted cooling power or delay power.

An air conditioning system and a control method are provided. The air conditioning system includes: at least one heat exchanger (1, 2); and at least one control mechanism. Each control mechanism is connected to one of the at least one heat exchanger (1, 2) and is configured to control the corresponding heat exchanger to switch between a first working state and a second working state. The heat exchanger (1, 2) drains liquid when in the first working state and stores liquid when in the second working state.

CRYOCOOLER AND MAGNETIC SHIELD
A cryocooler includes a second-stage cooling stage, a second cylinder which includes the second-stage cooling stage on a terminal of the second-stage cylinder, a second-stage displacer which includes a magnetic regenerator material and is accommodated in the second-stage cylinder so as to be able to reciprocate in the second-stage cylinder, and a tubular magnetic shield which is installed on the second-stage cooling stage and extends along the second-stage cylinder outside the second-stage cylinder. The magnetic shield is formed of a normal conductor and a product of an electrical conductivity in a temperature range of 10 K (Kelvin) or less and a thickness of the tubular magnetic shield is 60 MS (Mega-Siemens) to 1980 MS.

Heat pump device
A heat pump device includes a compression mechanism for compressing refrigerant, a motor for driving the compression mechanism, a shell housing the compression mechanism and the motor, a discharge muffler located outside the shell, a first pipe connecting the compression mechanism to the discharge muffler, and a thermal insulator (a first thermal insulating material and a second thermal insulating material). The shell and the discharge muffler are spatially located next to each other without being in contact with each other. The thermal insulator is at least partially located in a space where a distance between an outer surface of the shell and an outer surface of the discharge muffler is minimum.
Method for fabricating a pipe unit and a method for installing an air conditioning device
A pipe unit is provided for a refrigerant circuit which performs a vapor compression refrigeration cycle by circulating a refrigerant. The pipe unit includes a pipe body having a liquid pipe through which a liquid refrigerant for the refrigerant circuit flows and a gas pipe through which a gaseous refrigerant for the refrigerant circuit flows; and a heat insulator covering each of the liquid pipe and the gas pipe separately. The liquid pipe and the gas pipe, each of which is covered with the heat insulator, are fixed together to form a single piece. Such partial unitization of the refrigerant circuit allows for reduction in the number of days required for installation of an air conditioner.
Reduction of scale build-up in an evaporative cooling apparatus
A direct evaporative cooler includes a liquid delivery system and an assembly of two or more plates. At least one plate of the assembly of two or more plates may include a top surface having a wicking material with an exposed surface for receiving a liquid thereon from the liquid delivery system, and one or more masks lining a portion of the exposed surface. The one or more masks may be impermeable to the liquid thereby preventing the liquid from evaporating through the one or more masks, and the one or more masks may be sized and shaped such that a wick rate of the liquid on the exposed surface exceeds an evaporation rate of the liquid.

A vapor compression system includes an indoor heat exchanger, an outdoor heat exchanger, a compressor, a first valve, and a second valve. The compressor has an inlet connected to a suction flow and an exit connected to a discharge flow. The first valve is movable to connect the discharge flow to one of the indoor and outdoor heat exchangers. The second valve is movable to connect the suction flow to one of the indoor and outdoor heat exchangers.
