Refrigerating cycle device having wiring switch part that switches between wiring states
A refrigerating cycle device includes a compressor, a motor, and a wiring switch part. The compressor compresses a refrigerant. The motor generates power for compressing the refrigerant by rotating a rotor with voltage applied to a plurality of wirings. The motor is disposed in the compressor. The wiring switch part switches between a plurality of wiring states by changing connection between the plurality of wirings. When a rotational speed of the rotor exceeds a predetermined value, the wiring switch part switches to a first wiring state of the plurality of wiring states. The first wiring state differs from a second wiring state of the plurality of wiring state. Efficiency of the second wiring state is highest at the rotational speed.
Refrigerant leak sensor power control systems and methods
A sensor control system includes: a refrigerant leak sensor configured to, when powered, measure an amount of a refrigerant present in air outside of a heat exchanger of a refrigeration system, where the heat exchanger is located within a building that is at least one of heated and cooled by the refrigeration system; and a power control module configured to one of: continuously power the refrigerant leak sensor; and disconnect the refrigerant leak sensor from power when a blower that moves air past the heat exchanger is on.
Method of operating an air conditioner unit based on airflow
A method of operating an air conditioner unit, as provided herein, includes initiating a first heat pump cycle, the first heat pump cycle comprising sending a control signal to the fan to rotate at a predetermined rotational speed, and detecting an actual rotational speed of the fan, calculating a first flow rate of air through the first heat exchanger based on the control signal and the actual rotational speed, storing the first flow rate as a first reference flow rate, stopping the first heat pump cycle, initiating a second heat pump cycle, calculating a second flow rate of air through the first heat exchanger, comparing the calculated second flow rate to the first reference flow rate, and directing the air conditioner unit based on the comparison of the calculated second flow rate to the first reference flow rate.
BLOCKED COIL DETECTION SYSTEM
A control system for a cooling system configured to selectively operate one or both of a condenser fan an evaporator fan in a reverse direction RD, measure power draw at the motor against configuration data and fan motor profiles, and determine if a blockage has occurred before the static pressure has reached a critical point static pressure where the efficiency, performance, and cooling capability of the cooling system is hindered and maintenance is required to clear the blockage. By determining if blockage has occurred before the static pressure has reached the critical point static pressure, an alert or corrective action can be taken.

Refrigerator and method for controlling a motor driving a compressor of the refrigerator
Disclosed is a method for controlling a refrigerator including a motor driving a compressor. The method for controlling a refrigerator includes: identifying driving revolutions per minute (RPM) for driving of the motor; performing a control of temperature in the refrigerator based on the identified driving RPM; and storing operation information of the motor associated with the performing of the control of temperature, where the identifying of the driving RPM involves identifying stored operation information of the motor associated with a previous motor driving process.
