Ice maker, ice dispensing assembly, and method of deploying ice maker
An ice maker includes a prefabricated cabinet with a base that defines a bottom of an ice maker housing. An access side of the cabinet defines a doorway for accessing an ice making device in the housing. A prefabricated door for opening and closing the doorway has a bottom spaced apart above the bottom of the housing. The ice maker can be mounted on a prefabricated receptacle so that the bottom of the housing is flush with a top of the receptacle and the door can clear a protruding dispenser unit as it swings on its hinge. The prefabricated cabinet may include a door mount that couples the door to the cabinet so that the bottom of the door is spaced above the bottom of the ice maker.

Refrigerator
A refrigerator includes a cabinet that defines a refrigerating compartment and a freezing compartment, a door configured to open and close at least a portion of the freezing compartment, an ice maker located adjacent to a rear surface of the door and configured to supply water to make ice automatically, to provide ice to an ice tray, and to transfer ice automatically, a cabinet duct located above the freezing compartment and configured to supply cold air to the freezing compartment or to the ice maker, an ice cover that is located above the ice maker and that includes a cover inflow hole configured to receive cold air located at a position that faces an outlet of the cabinet duct, and a supply duct that connects the cover inflow hole to the ice maker and that defines a cold air supply passage to an interior area of the ice maker.
WATER ROUTING FROM CABINET TO DOOR OF A REFRIGERATOR WITH ARTICULATED HINGE
A refrigerator comprising: a cabinet; a door operably connected to the cabinet, the door having a closed position relative to the cabinet and an opened position relative to the cabinet, and the door transitions from the closed position to the opened position in a non-circular path; a liquid outlet disposed at the cabinet; and a liquid receiver disposed at the door, the liquid receiver configured to receive liquid exiting the liquid outlet when the door is in the closed position but not in the opened position. The refrigerator can further include a gasket adjacent to the liquid receiver and a gasket adjacent to the liquid outlet. When the door is in the closed position, the gasket of the door can cooperate with the gasket of the cabinet to form a sealed channel to seal liquid transfer from the liquid outlet to the liquid receiver for use at the door.
REFRIGERATOR
Provided is a refrigerator including a cabinet having a freezing compartment defined therein, an ice-maker mounted in the freezing compartment, wherein the ice-maker makes spherical ice and removes the made spherical ice downwards, an ice bin disposed below the ice-maker, and retractable and extendable in a front and rear direction, wherein the removed ice is stored in the ice bin, and a cover plate extending downward from a rear face of the ice-maker, wherein the cover plate shields a space between the ice bin and the ice-maker.
Home appliance device and method for assembling the home appliance device
A home appliance device, in particular a home refrigeration appliance device, has improved energy efficiency. The home appliance device has at least one inner liner defining at least one storage space and at least one functional unit which in an assembled state is connected to the inner liner and located in the storage space. The inner liner contains at least one accommodation element which in the assembled state at least partly accommodates the at least one functional unit.
Ice bucket agitator and refrigerator appliance
An ice bucket for a refrigerator appliance, includes a bucket body; an auger provided inside the bucket and including an auger shaft rotatable about a first shaft axis and a collet at a first end of the auger shaft and including an axially beveled surface formed circumferentially around the auger shaft; and an agitator provided in the bucket in mechanical communication with the auger, the agitator including an agitator shaft rotatable about a second shaft axis non-parallel to the first shaft axis, a plurality of first tines extending radially from the agitator shaft within the bucket body to engage ice therein, and a projection that extends perpendicularly from the agitator shaft opposite the plurality of tines. The projection engages with the axially beveled surface to oscillate the agitator.
ICE BIN INCLUDING AN ICE CONVEYANCE AND CRUSHER ASSEMBLY
An ice bin for a refrigerator appliance, the ice bin includes a storage body. An auger, rotatably driven by an auger motor, extends within the storage body and has first and second ends. The auger is rotatably driven about a first axis. A first crusher roller is disposed at the second end of the auger and is coupled thereto to rotate together with the auger about the first axis. A second crusher roller is disposed on an axle extending along a second axis, the second crusher roller is freely rotatable about the axle. The second crusher roller is movable between a first position and a second position. When the second crusher roller is in the first position, the first crusher roller and the second crusher roller are spatially arranged and configured to grind the produced ice pieces into crushed ice.
DRIVE BAR FOR ICE BIN OF ICE MAKER
A refrigeration appliance includes a fresh food compartment and a freezer compartment. An ice maker is disposed within the fresh food compartment for freezing water into ice pieces. The ice maker includes a removable ice bin for storing the ice pieces produced by the ice maker. A rotatable auger is positioned within the removable ice bin and configured to drive the ice pieces out of the removable ice bin via a driving force applied in a first direction. A motor is configured to rotate the auger. A drive bar is coupled to the motor and is configured to apply a resisting force to the removable ice bin along a second direction generally opposed to the first direction sufficient to counteract the driving force, wherein the resisting force is less than a removal force applied by a user to remove the removable ice bin from the ice maker.
REFRIGERATOR APPLIANCE
A refrigerator includes a first air duct, a second air duct, a door, and a gasket. The door has an ice maker disposed therein. The door also has a third air duct disposed along an internal side panel. The third air duct defines inlet and outlet orifices configured to establish fluid communication between first and second air ducts and the ice maker, respectively. The gasket is overmolded onto the third air duct and is configured to from a seal along an interface between the third air duct and the first air duct, and along an interface between the third air duct and the second air duct.
