REFRIGERATOR AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
20230043230 · 2023-02-09 ·

A refrigerator and a method of controlling an operation thereof are proposed. In the refrigerator and method thereof, heat control of heaters for preventing a damper from freezing is performed according to at least any one condition set in consideration of a room temperature and refrigerator internal humidity. Accordingly, consumption of power due to unnecessary heat generation of the heaters may be reduced, thereby improving the power consumption.

EVAPORATOR AND REFRIGERATOR HAVING THE SAME

An evaporating device includes: an evaporator, a defrost heater, and an evaporation pan, wherein the evaporation pan is made of aluminum and the inner side of the evaporation pan is coated with a surface treatment to improve the melting of ice in the evaporation pan.

METHOD OF DEFROSTING A HEAT PUMP DEVICE AS WELL AS A HEAT PUMP DEVICE
20230003435 · 2023-01-05 · ·

A method of defrosting a heat pump device including a water tank, a heat exchanger, an electrical heating element, an evaporator, a fan for the evaporator, and a control unit. In a first operating mode, the heat pump device is controlled to heat water inside the water tank. In a second operating mode, the electrical heating element is manually activated to additionally heat the water inside the water tank. In a third operating mode, the electrical heating element is automatically activating to heat the water in the storage tank if: the power supplied by the heat pump device to heat the water inside the water tank is not sufficient; if a time limit after activation of a deicing operation has lapsed; and/or if the number of times the deicing operation has been activated during a predetermined time interval exceeds a threshold value.

TOE-KICK

A refrigerator includes a main body and a supporting structure disposed below the main body upon which the refrigerator is supported on a floor. A pair of guide rails is affixed to a bottom wall of the main body along a pair of opposed lateral sides of the main body and extend between a rear wall and a front side of the main body. A portion of a heat loop tube for a refrigeration system extends externally out of the internal storage compartment and is disposed below the main body and within a cavity. A toe kick is disposed proximate a bottom edge of the front side of the main body and proximate the floor for containing the portion of the heat loop tube within the cavity and isolating the portion of the heat loop tube from an exterior of the refrigerator.

Refrigerator and control method thereof

A refrigerator including a main body including a storeroom; an evaporator arranged in the back of the storeroom and configured to generate cold air; a defrost heater arranged under the evaporator into which air flows and configured to remove frost or ice formed on the evaporator; a temperature sensor arranged on the top of the evaporator and configured to measure temperature; and a controller configured to stop operation of the defrost heater in a first defrost cycle based on a first measurement measured by the temperature sensor and stop operation of the defrost heater in a second defrost cycle based on a second measurement, which is different from the first measurement.
