REFRIGERATOR SYSTEM WITH MODULAR STRUCTURE
A modular refrigerator system includes a modular cabinet and a machine housing. The modular cabinet comprises at least two sections that are secured to each other and collectively define an internal cavity configured to receive perishable foodstuffs or other items that may need to be refrigerated. The machine housing defines a machine compartment having a refrigeration circuit disposed therein. The refrigeration circuit has an evaporator and a condenser. The machine housing is secured to the modular cabinet and has an interface that establishes fluid communication with the internal cavity of the modular cabinet.
Molded gas barrier parts for vacuum insulated structure
A vacuum insulated appliance structure, comprising: a first layer of a first polymer material. A second layer of a second polymer material is molded to (e.g. over) at least a portion of the first layer, and a third layer of a third polymer material is molded to (e.g. over) at least a portion of the second layer to form a first component. At least one of the layers is impervious to one or more gasses. One or more additional components are secured to the first component to form a vacuum cavity. The vacuum cavity is filled with a porous material, and the vacuum cavity is evacuated to form a vacuum.
Side access panel for an appliance
An appliance cabinet includes a wrapper that has sidewalls and define a machine compartment. An attachment feature is coupled to the wrapper proximate the sidewalls. The attachment feature includes horizontal supports and vertical supports that define a lattice structure of the attachment feature, and a selectively removable side access panel is removably coupled to the sidewalls to define at least one access point to the machine compartment.
Multi-layer encapsulation system for joint sealing of vacuum insulated cabinets
An appliance includes an outer wrapper, an inner liner, a trim breaker having a channel that receives at least one of a wrapper edge of the outer wrapper and a liner edge of the inner liner, and a composite encapsulation system that hermetically seals an insulating cavity defined between the outer wrapper and the inner liner. The composite encapsulation system includes a base adhesive and an outer adhesive, wherein the base adhesive defines a structural adhesive component and the outer adhesive defines a sealing adhesive component.

VACUUM ADIABATIC BODY AND REFRIGERATOR
A vacuum adiabatic body and a refrigerator having the vacuum adiabatic body. The vacuum adiabatic body comprises: a first plate, the first plate having a first thickness; a second plate spaced apart from the first plate in an opposite manner, the second plate having a second thickness, and the first thickness being greater than the second thickness; and sealing members arranged between the first plate and the second plate and configured to seal and fix the first plate and the second plate, a vacuum cavity being defined among the first plate, the second plate, and the sealing members. According to the vacuum adiabatic body, convection heat transfer can be reduced by vacuumizing between two plates which are sealingly connected; and the whole vacuum insulation body is stable in structure and not too heavy.
MODULE REFRIGERATOR
A modular refrigerator including a main cabinet, and a sub-cabinet selectively coupleable to a right side, an upper side, and a left side, of the main cabinet. The main cabinet includes a cooling unit, a first connection duct for cold air generated by the cooling unit to flow toward the right side, a second connection duct for the cold air to flow toward the upper side, and a third connection duct for the cold air to flow toward the left side. The sub-cabinet includes a first branch duct that, when the sub-cabinet is coupled to the right side, communicates with the first connection duct, a second branch duct that, when the sub-cabinet is coupled to the upper side, communicates with the second connection duct, and a third branch duct that, when the sub-cabinet is coupled to the left side, communicates with third connection duct.
Electrical appliance having electric devices in a distributed arrangement
A cable harness supplies a plurality of electric devices which are in a distributed arrangement in a device housing. A first connection point of the cable harness has a plug connector on the side of the cable harness. At least the electric devices which are supplied via the first connection point are connected to the first plug connector on the side of the cable harness by way of a device-side plug connector and an adapter that is plugged together with both plug connectors.
Storage structure for refrigerator appliance
A cover is provided for a storage bin of a refrigerator. The cover includes a panel and a communication portion. The panel has an upper surface for storing food items thereon that is substantially planar and substantially horizontal. Moreover, the panel separates an upper space located above the panel from a lower space located below the panel. The communication portion is configured to provide fluid communication between the upper and lower spaces. In particular, the communication portion includes an upward-facing recessed surface, one or more side wall portions that extend above and at least partially bound the recessed surface, and a plurality of apertures that extend through the recessed surface and provide fluid communication between the upper space and lower space. The recessed surface and the one or more side wall portions collectively define a recess. Optionally, a wine rack is provided.
Vacuum insulation structures with multiple insulators
A refrigerator cabinet is provided. The refrigerator cabinet includes an inner liner and an external wrapper. The inner liner is positioned within the external wrapper such that a gap is defined between the external wrapper and inner liner. A first insulator is positioned within the gap, and a second insulator is positioned within the gap. A pressure within the gap is below about 1000 Pa.
