REFRIGERATOR
Proposed is a refrigerator. According to the refrigerator, a storage space (121) may be defined in a cabinet (100), and a machine room (201) may be arranged under the storage space (121). To implement a cooling system, a compressor (610), a condenser (620), and a heat dissipation fan (611) may be included in the machine room (201). In addition, a control module (700) may be provided in the machine room (201) to face an outlet (225b) of the machine room (201). The control module (700) may be installed at a position close to the entrance of the machine room (201) and may be separated frontward from the machine room (201), and thus accessibility to the control module (700) can be enhanced.
Refrigerator and method of controlling a refrigerator
A refrigerator and a method of controlling a refrigerator are provided. The refrigerator may include a machine room defined in or at one side of a storage compartment, a base that defines a bottom surface of the machine room, a compressor seated on the base to compress a refrigerant, a condenser that condenses a refrigerant compressed in the compressor, the condenser being disposed on or at one side of the compressor, a drain pan disposed on the base to store condensed water generated in the condenser, and a fan assembly coupled to the base to generate an air flow within the machine room. The fan assembly may include a plurality of condensation fans.
WICKING PAD FOR REFRIGERATOR
A water-removing system for a refrigerator comprises a water reservoir pan, a first line of wicking pad array, and a second line of wicking pad array. The water reservoir pan is for collecting water from compressor. The first line of wicking pad array comprises wavy wicking pads, and each of the wavy wicking pads has a horizontal cross-sectional shape of an extended “S” and is disposed in a direction of air flow from the fan motor to the wavy wicking pads, so that a length of the wavy wicking pad for the air flow is increased rather than a straight cross-sectional shape, and lower portions of the wavy wicking pads are immersed in the water reservoir pan. The second line is disposed behind of the first line so that each of the wavy wicking pads of the second line is disposed between two wavy wicking pads of the first line.
Refrigerator drain system
A refrigerator includes: a cabinet including an inner case provided with a storage compartment, a case supporter coupled to a lower side of the inner case to support the inner case, and a base coupled to a lower side of the case supporter; a door disposed on a front portion of the cabinet to open and close the storage compartment; and a cooling device disposed on a rear surface of the inner case to have at least a portion thereof exposed to the storage compartment, wherein a water collection hole is formed on a rear end of a bottom surface of the inner case, wherein a water collection guide is mounted on the inner case to guide water flowing into the water collection hole to flow downward, wherein a water collection portion is formed on the base to collect water passing through the water collection guide.
REFRIGERATED DEVICE WITH ENHANCED CONDENSATE EVAPORATION
A refrigerated device is configured to enhance condensate evaporation and includes a compartment including an access door, a refrigeration circuit for cooling the compartment, the refrigeration circuit including an evaporator coil and a condenser with an associated condenser fan, and a condensate pan for capturing condensate from the evaporator coil. At least one first air flow path is provided from a pressure side of the condenser fan, into and along at least part of the condensate pan and then to a suction side of the condenser fan. At least one second air flow path is provided from the pressure side of the condenser fan, into and along at least part the condensate pan and then back to the pressure side of the condenser fan.
REFRIGERATOR
PIPE ASSEMBLY, CONDENSATE LINE ASSEMBLY AND REFRIGERATOR INCLUDING THE SAME
A pipe assembly, installed in a refrigerator, to function as a condensate line and comprises: a first pipe extending from an evaporator of the refrigerator and inclined downward to drain water; and a second pipe connected to a downstream end of the first pipe to receive the water, the second pipe extending from the first pipe so as to be inclined downward at a steeper slope than the first pipe. The first pipe includes a first connection portion fastened to the second pipe and a water guide portion extending further downward from the first connection portion.
Cooling units
A cooling unit comprising: an interior space; a door separating the interior space from air external to the cooling unit, wherein the door comprises a transparent window; an air curtain system having an air egress and an air-recovery ingress, wherein the air curtain system produces an air curtain between the air egress and the air-recovery ingress, the air curtain being within the interior space and spaced from the door; and an air curtain guide for guiding flow of air within the air curtain, wherein the air curtain guide is within the interior space. A method of reducing condensation on a transparent window in a door of a cooling unit is also provided.
