BEVERAGE CHILLER

Beverage chillers are disclosed. A beverage chiller may include a container platform that receives a beverage container and a chiller tank. The chiller tank may have a central axis and may have an agitator. The chiller tank may be filled with water. A conveyor may move the container platform and beverage container into the chiller tank. The container platform and beverage container may rotate in a first direction in the chiller tank and the agitator may rotate the water in a second direction.

A temperature-regulating apparatus is provided to rapidly cool a beverage to a desired temperature. In some variations, the geometry of the temperature-regulating apparatus is configured to rapidly cool a beverage incorporating one or more inner portions that contain a temperature regulating material, such as a phase change material having a high heat capacity. The geometry of the interior of the container may be configured to aid in rapid heat transfer between the beverage therein and the outer shell of the inner portion and may have a length to width aspect ratio of at least 4:1. The inner portion may be formed between the exterior wall of the container and by a single piece of formed metal that extends along the length, width and base walls to form the interior for receiving a beverage. The cavity formed between the outer shell and the exterior wall may be at least 15 mm deep.

The present invention concerns a method of refrigerating a housing to a target temperature according to which: an evaporator is placed in said housing; said evaporator is placed in fluid communication with a thermochemical reactor Ri, simultaneously, the heat produced at said reactor Ri is evacuated; Characteristically, at least n>1 other thermochemical reactors are provided; I) the pressure Pevi in said evaporator after it is placed in fluid communication with said thermochemical reactor Ri, and the temperature of said thermochemical reactor Ri connected to said evaporator, are determined; II) when the temperature difference DTRi between the temperature of said reactor Ri connected to said evaporator and the equilibrium temperature TeSi of said reactive mixture contained in said thermochemical reactor Ri at the pressure Pevi of said evaporator is equal to a first predetermined differential and/or when the temperature difference DTev between said evaporator and the interior of said housing is equal to a second predetermined differential, said reactor Ri is isolated from said evaporator and said evaporator is placed in fluid communication with at least one thermochemical reactor Ri+1 the pressure whereof is less than Pevi and/or the temperature is less than a predetermined value, simultaneously, all or part of the heat that is produced at said reactors Ri+1 connected to said evaporator is also evacuated, III) steps I and II are repeated with reference to the thermochemical reactor Ri+1 in fluid communication with said evaporator (E) until the target temperature in said housing C is obtained.

The present invention relates to an instant temperature-controlled cooling apparatus or device to chill food and beverage containers and the contents rapidly to a sub-zero temperature. The chill device is compact and portable for ease of use on the go and away from the comforts of home. The chill device is made up of a transport chamber with pump, coolant chamber with actuator to move coolant into coils within the container chamber. Chilling of coolant may occur from activation of chemical reaction or via an external power source and pump. The coolant flows through a closed system to prevent contamination and to maintain the desired temperatures for extended periods of time. The instant temperature- controlled cooling apparatus maintains safe and sanitary conditions while rapidly cooling or chilling food and beverage container and relieves users of the necessity of ice or water for maintaining safe temperatures.

Refrigerator

A refrigerator includes a main body in which a first storage compartment is defined, and a heat exchange chamber defined in the main body. An evaporator received in the heat exchange chamber. A second storage compartment is provided in the first storage compartment and a quick cooling module to cool an inside of the second storage compartment is provided, where the quick cooling module heat-exchanges with a refrigerant pipe of the evaporator. The quick cooling module includes a thermal conductive unit in thermal conduction with the refrigerant pipe, and a thermoelectric device having a first surface in thermal conduction with the thermal conductive unit to heat-exchange with the thermal conductive unit when current is supplied and a second surface facing the second storage compartment.
