Support assembly for an appliance
A support assembly includes a support surface configured to selectively transition between a stowed position, a deployed position, and an intermediate position defined between the stowed position and the deployed position. A retention feature is operably coupled to the support surface and is configured to transition the support surface between the stowed position and the deployed position. The retention feature includes a projection about which the support surface pivots to define a pivot axis. A bracket is coupled to the support surface and is configured to distribute a load along the support assembly in the intermediate position and the deployed position.
REFRIGERATOR DEAD SPACE STORAGE SYSTEMS
Storage systems for use in consumer appliances are provided. Storage system can be a storage assembly defining a vertical direction, a lateral direction, and a transverse direction, the vertical, lateral, and transverse directions being mutually perpendicular. The storage assembly includes a mounting bracket, a first mounting tab and a second mounting tab extending in the transverse direction from a first end of the mounting bracket. The first mounting tab and the second mounting tab are configured to be inserted into a mounting track disposed within the consumer appliance. The storage assembly also includes a storage receptacle which is supported at a second end of the mounting bracket.
CHEST FREEZER STORAGE SYSTEM
The present invention relates to an improved storage system for chest freezers. Advantageously, the present invention improves the ease of access to the lower portions of a freezer so that food is less likely to be stored longer than desired and can be used in any model of chest freezer. The invention provides an adjustable storage system that has a high strength to weight ratio and can be used at very low temperatures without being structurally altered.
Cooler
A cooler is provided which has various improvements. The cooler may be a passive cooler or may be actively cooled for providing desirable cooling effects. The cooler may include an accessory system, for example, with bottle or can holders or a post holder which utilizes the weight of the cooler to support a sunshade. The accessory system may be positioned in various locations of the cooler, one location being in a recess which is utilized to open the cooler lid. The smart cooler may also comprise a cushion assembly which may be placed on an upper surface of the lid and may have straps to retain the cushion on the lid. The lid may be formed to accept and retain a cushion retaining feature so that the cushion does not excessively move from the top surface of the lid.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator includes: a main body; a storage room formed inside the main body; an ice maker fixed to the main body, and inside the storage room; and a drawer accommodated in the storage room and configured to be withdrawable in a front direction with respect to the main body to open or close the storage room, wherein the drawer includes: a basket including an ice-making room formed therein and below the ice maker and a top portion opened; and a cover assembly in front of the ice maker and configured to cover the opened top portion of the ice-making room together with the ice maker, the cover assembly comprising a plurality of covers slidingly coupled with the basket and extendable when the basket is pulled out so that the plurality of covers changes in length along the front direction in which the basket is pulled out.
Lighting units for refrigerator drawers and baskets
Lighting units for refrigerator drawers and baskets are disclosed. An example refrigerator drawer assembly includes a shelf having a divider, the shelf defining at least a portion of a drawer compartment, first and second drawers disposed beneath the shelf, an elongated light source attached to a bottom surface of the divider, the elongated light source having a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) along the length of the elongated light source to provide a source of visible light for the first and second drawers.
Multi-lateral basket for refrigerator or freezer
A storage basket used for storing and displaying food products and packages in a refrigerator or freezer unit may include a single-material first portion including a bottom wall and an upright wall that extends away from the bottom wall. The bottom wall and the upright wall are imperforate, thereby creating a solid barrier to transfer and fall-through of materials contained in the storage basket. The storage basket may also include a single-material second portion coupled to and extending from the upright wall, and the second portion may include a plurality of perforations. The plurality of perforations may permit airflow around and about the materials contained in the storage basket.
REFRIGERATOR
A refrigerator includes a cabinet that defines a storage space, a door configured to open and close at least a portion of the storage space, a door dike protruding from a rear surface of the door toward the storage space along a circumference of the rear surface of the door, and a guide groove defined at an inside surface of the door dike. The refrigerator also includes a plurality of fixing grooves recessed from a first inner surface of the guide groove and vertically spaced apart from each other, a receiving member configured to mount to the door dike, and a restricting member located at an outside surface of the receiving member.
Ice chest liner
A basket for lining an ice chest includes four flexible walls configured to roll up, a bottom, and at least two handles. At least one wall includes perforations configured to allow water or ice to pass through the perforations. The four flexible walls are made of silicone, rubber, elastic, or any combination thereof.
Tiered storage system for refrigerator door
A tiered storage system for refrigerator door bins is established by providing an insert between opposing side walls of the bin, with the insert including a raised platform arranged spaced from a bottom wall of the bin. The insert is positioned such that the platform extends only part way from a rear wall to a front wall of the bin and maintained in this operational or in-use position by retainer structure acting between the bin and the insert. The insert also includes an upstanding front panel extending upward from a front end portion of the platform, with the upstanding panel extending between the opposing side walls of the bin, to prevent food containers stored on the platform from toppling upon movement of the refrigerator door.
