Shelf assembly for an appliance

A shelf assembly for an appliance includes a shelf support operably coupled with a cabinet liner. First and second supports are positioned below the shelf support. The first and second supports are positioned on opposing sidewalls of the cabinet liner. A rear shelf portion is slidably supported on the shelf support between rearward and forward positions. A front shelf portion is positioned adjacent to the rear shelf portion and is movable between a raised position and a lowered position. A plurality of rotatable arms are configured to support the front shelf portion. Each rotatable arm of the plurality of rotatable arms is operably coupled with one of the first and second supports at a first end and is further operably coupled with the front shelf portion at a second end. A connecting arm interconnects the rear shelf portion and the front shelf portion.

Support assembly for an appliance

A support assembly includes a support surface configured to selectively transition between a stowed position, a deployed position, and an intermediate position defined between the stowed position and the deployed position. A retention feature is operably coupled to the support surface and is configured to transition the support surface between the stowed position and the deployed position. The retention feature includes a projection about which the support surface pivots to define a pivot axis. A bracket is coupled to the support surface and is configured to distribute a load along the support assembly in the intermediate position and the deployed position.

REFRIGERATOR APPLIANCE

A refrigerator includes a cabinet and a shelf. The cabinet has a rear wall and opposing side walls extending forward from the rear wall. The rear wall and opposing side walls define an internal cavity. The shelf is disposed within the internal cavity, has a base portion defining a plurality of aligned grooves, and has an extendable portion having a plurality of aligned protrusions. Each protrusion is disposed and slidable within one of the aligned grooves. The extendable portion is configured to transition between first and second positions relative to the base portion via sliding the plurality of aligned protrusions within the plurality of aligned grooves.

REFRIGERATOR APPLIANCE

A refrigerator appliance includes a housing, a mullion, and a biasing element. The housing defines an internal cavity and door frame that accesses the internal cavity. The mullion is disposed within the cavity and divides the cavity into a freezer compartment and a refrigerator compartment. A position of the mullion is adjustable within the cavity such that movement of the mullion away from the freezer compartment and toward the refrigerator compartment increases a volume of the freezer compartment and decreases a volume of the refrigerator compartment, and such that movement of the mullion away from the refrigerator compartment and toward the freezer the compartment decreases the volume of the freezer compartment and increases the volume of the refrigerator compartment. The biasing element is secured to the housing and the mullion. The biasing element is configured to bias the mullion toward the freezer compartment.

Shelf with specific center web for separate plate elements

A shelf for a household refrigeration appliance includes a shelf plate having a first plate element and a separate second plate element. The second plate element is disposed next to the first plate element in a use position in the widthwise direction of the shelf to form the shelf plate and the second plate element can be removed non-destructively to make the shelf plate smaller. A carrier frame only borders the edges of the shelf plate. The shelf has a center web oriented in the depthwise direction of the shelf. Both plate elements rest on the center web in their use position.

The present invention relates to an improved storage system for chest freezers. Advantageously, the present invention improves the ease of access to the lower portions of a freezer so that food is less likely to be stored longer than desired and can be used in any model of chest freezer. The invention provides an adjustable storage system that has a high strength to weight ratio and can be used at very low temperatures without being structurally altered.

SHELF SYSTEM FOR A BEVERAGE CABINET

Beverage cabinets and shelf systems for beverage cabinets are described herein. The present invention may include a cabinet that includes a housing, a door attached to a front edge of the housing, and shelves suspended within the interior of the housing by rail mechanisms. One or more of the shelves may include a rear support extending approximately from left to right in a rear portion of interior of the housing, a transverse support extending approximately from left to right and offset from the front edge of the housing, and medial supports extending approximately from front to back. One or more of the medial supports may include a back portion extending from the rear support to the transverse support and a front portion extending from the transverse support to the front edge of the housing, where the front portion is removable.

Pull down refrigerator shelf and refrigerator with the same

A pull down refrigerator shelf for a storage compartment of a refrigerator, the pull down refrigerator shelf may include a rear shelf plate; a front shelf plate disposed in front of the rear shelf plate and configured to be selectively positioned on a same plane as the rear shelf plate or below the rear shelf plate; and a shelf sliding and lowering mechanism disposed under the rear shelf plate and the front shelf plate and configured to allow the rear shelf plate and the front shelf plate to slide integrally, the shelf sliding and lowering mechanism configured to allow the front shelf plate to lower relative to the rear shelf plate while maintaining a horizontal state.
