Temperature-controlled drawer in a refrigerator
A refrigerator has a temperature-controlled drawer within a fresh food compartment that includes: a temperature sensor within the temperature-controlled drawer and/or the fresh food compartment; a display coupled to the drawer, wherein the display receives an output from the temperature sensor, determines what food type would be best suited for the temperature based on said temperature sensor output, and indicates what type of food it has determined is best for storage therein; at least one light within said drawer, wherein the at least one light changes to a first color, based on the food type indicated by the display, and turns off and on depending on whether the fresh food compartment door is closed or open, respectively.
HANDLE LIGHTING ASSEMBLY FOR AN APPLIANCE
A handle lighting assembly for an appliance includes features that allow a consumer to readily change the color of the light emitted from the handle lighting assembly as desired. In one exemplary aspect, the handle lighting assembly includes features that allow a consumer to readily interchange colored films to and from the handle lighting assembly based on the desired emitted light color.
BEVERAGE COOLER
Beverage coolers for storing and cooling bottled beverages. A beverage cooler may include a cooling chamber cooled by a refrigeration system, and openings in the cooling chamber for receiving bottled beverages to be chilled. The openings may have doors and/or seals to minimize heat exchange between the cooling chamber and the environment with or without bottles disposed in the openings. Each of the openings may have a visual indicator, such as a plurality of LEDs, configured to indicate the temperature of the bottle disposed in the opening.
Refrigerator and control method thereof
A refrigerator includes a cabinet forming a storage space, a main door that opens and closes the storage space while defining an opening part that is in communication with the storage space, a sub-door mounted to the main door and configured to open and close the opening part, the sub-door including a panel assembly for allowing selective viewing of an inside of the opening part, the injection port is provided at a lower side of the sub-door to direct an insulating foaming solution to a space in the sub-door, a detection device for detecting an operation of a user, a lighting unit inside the refrigerator that turns on based on user operation to allow selective viewing of the inner side of the opening part, and a display unit inside the refrigerator at a position corresponding to the panel.
REFRIGERATOR
A method to control a refrigerator includes changing a transparent display assembly to be in a first or transparent state allowing an inner space of the refrigerator to be visible through the transparent assembly, a second or opaque state so as to conceal the inner space, and a third or a display state to display information on a display of the transparent assembly. The transparent display assembly includes a front panel, a rear panel, an outer spacer configured to maintain a first distance between the front panel and the rear panel, a display provided on a rear surface of the front panel, a light guide plate spaced apart from the display, and a first spacer configured to support the light guide plate and to maintain a second distance between the display and the light guide plate.
Inventory indication mechanism utilizing visual indicia
A refrigerating appliance includes a cabinet that defines an interior cavity. A temperature sensing network monitors a temperature stratification of the interior cavity. The temperature stratification includes a plurality of temperature levels that correspond to respective locations of the interior cavity. A controller is configured to receive an input related to an item to be stored. The controller is further configured to compare the input with the temperature stratification. The controller is further configured to identify a primary storage location of the item to be stored based upon a comparison of the input and the plurality of temperature levels of the temperature stratification. A visual indicia is disposed within the interior cavity and coupled to the controller. The visual indicia activates to identify the primary storage location of the item to be stored.
HOME APPLIANCE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
Proposed is a home appliance that includes a cabinet defining an exterior of the home appliance; a reception space defined inside the cabinet and configured to receive objects in the reception space; a door configured to open/close an open surface of the reception space, the door having a viewing window provided at the door; a lamp configured to illuminate an inside of the reception space; a sensor assembly configured to output a knock-on signal based on detecting a user's knock; and a controller configured to turn on/off the lamp based on the knock-on signal output by the sensor assembly, wherein based on a present state of the home appliance corresponding to at least any one of a plurality of preset exceptional situations, the controller is configured to not turn on/off the lamp regardless of the knock-on signal being output.
HOME APPLIANCE PROVIDED WITH VIEWING WINDOW
Proposed is a home appliance in which a reception space defined in the home appliance can be seen from the outside without opening a door through a viewing window. In the home appliance, the viewing window is mounted to the door, and when a user knocks on the door, a knock input by the user is detected and the inside of the reception space is illuminated such that the inside of the reception space can be seen from the outside through the viewing window. Accordingly, a user can see the inside of the reception space by a simple motion without opening the door.
Refrigerator having panel assembly covering opening of outer plate of door
Provided is a refrigerator. The refrigerator is characterized by enabling at least a part of a refrigerator door to be selectively transparent by a user's operation, such that the user sees through an inside of the refrigerator while the refrigerator door is closed.
Apparatus for cooling bottled beverages
An apparatus for cooling bottled beverages may include an open-topped vessel defining a bottle chamber. The vessel may have a tubular wall and a base. The apparatus may further include a cooling device in thermal communication with the base of the vessel and with a heat exchanger. The apparatus may also include a tubular housing surrounding the vessel and enclosing the cooling device and the heat exchanger. Additionally, the apparatus may include a fan configured to provide an air flow along an airflow path. The airflow path may extend from an inlet of the housing, across the heat exchanger, to an outlet of the housing.
