The structure further including a phase change material module, and a set of vacuum panels configured to form an encapsulating layer around the insulated box.
Identifying And Determining Status of Reefer Containers
An electrical system can include a diagnostic device that generates a first test signal at a first time. The electrical system can also include at least one energy transfer link coupled to the diagnostic device, where the first test signal flows through the at least one energy transfer link at the first time. The electrical system can further include a portable electrical load coupled to the at least one energy transfer link. The electrical system can also include a monitoring device coupled to the at least one energy transfer link, where the monitoring device is disposed between the diagnostic device and the portable electrical load. The first monitoring device can receive the first test signal, where the monitoring device executes, in response to the first test signal, a test procedure on the portable electrical load. The portable electrical load is portable relative to the diagnostic device.
Transformable Refrigerated Cargo Containers
In an example, a transformable cargo container for use with ground and air transportation vehicles is disclosed. The cargo container includes a main container body defining a storage chamber therein and including at least one inlet. The cargo container also includes a transformable assembly coupled to the main container body and positioned at an exterior of the main container body. The transformable assembly includes one or more supplemental containers and one or more supply ducts, at least one of the supplemental container(s) being configured to house refrigeration equipment. The transformable assembly is movable between an aircraft configuration and a ground configuration. Based on the transformable assembly being in either the aircraft configuration or the ground configuration, the refrigeration equipment is configured to supply coolant into the main container body via the supply duct(s) and the inlet(s).
Inside air control apparatus and container refrigeration apparatus including the same
An inside air control apparatus includes: a gas supply device that performs a gas supply operation for supplying low oxygen concentration air into a container; and a controller that controls an operation of the gas supply device so that the inside air has desired composition. The controller is configured to be able to execute, if an oxygen concentration of the inside air is higher than a target oxygen concentration, a carbon dioxide concentration controlling operation for controlling composition of the inside air to be desired composition by causing the gas supply device to perform the gas supply operation, while allowing the gas supply device to change the amount of gas supply such that the carbon dioxide concentration of the inside air falls within a predetermined reference concentration range.
Hybrid power conversion system for a refrigerated transport vehicle and method
A hybrid power conversion system (60) for an air conditioned transport vehicle (24) including a plurality of refrigeration components (52, 54, 56) for heating and/or cooling a refrigerated volume (40). Also included is a battery (62) storing electrical power to be provided to at least one of the plurality of refrigeration components (52, 54, 56). Further included is at least one supplemental power source (68, 70, 72, 76) providing electrical power to the battery (62) to provide a total available DC power for the refrigeration components (52, 54, 56). Yet further included is a power converter (64) converting the total available DC power to a total AC power, the total AC power provided to at least one of the plurality of refrigeration components (52, 54, 56).
Expansion Valve Position Detection in Refrigeration System
A refrigerated display case having a housing defining a temperature controlled space and a refrigeration system coupled to the housing is provided. The refrigeration system is configured to be operable to affect a temperature of the temperature controlled space. The refrigeration system includes an actuator, a controller, and a sensor. The controller is configured to continuously update a stored position of the actuator based on measurement of an electric current provided to the actuator, retrieve the stored position after a power failure, and restart control based on the stored position of the actuator. The sensor is configured to communicate with the controller.
PORTABLE REFRIGERATOR AND MAIN REFRIGERATOR HAVING THE SAME
A portable refrigerator is configured to be accommodated in a first cooling space of a main refrigerator and defines a second cooling space independent of the first cooling space. The portable refrigerator includes a case that defines an opening, a drawer configured to be inserted into and drawn out from the case through the opening of the case and configured to, based on being inserted into the case, cover the opening and the second cooling space, a temperature control part configured to control a temperature of the second cooling space, a power supply configured to be selectively connected to external power or indirect power, where the indirect power is supplied through the main refrigerator.
System and method for temperature control of refrigerator with convertible compartment
A method for controlling an operation of a refrigeration appliance includes controlling a first cooling routine for a first compartment via a flow of a thermal exchange media to a first evaporator. The method further includes controlling a heating routine in response to a setpoint temperature being greater than the temperature of the first compartment. The heating routine includes activating a heating element and a fan in the first compartment over a first interval and deactivating the heating element and the fan over a second interval. The heating routine continues by activating the first interval and the second interval over alternating time periods. In response to the temperature of the first compartment being greater than or equal to a target temperature associated with the setpoint, the method may control the operation of the appliance by returning to the cooling routine.
Battery powered transportation refrigeration unit with variable inverter
A transport refrigeration system including: a transportation refrigeration unit configured to provide conditioned air to a refrigerated cargo space; an energy storage device configured to store DC electrical energy to power the transportation refrigeration unit; and a DC-to-AC variable invertor electrically connecting the energy storage device to the transportation refrigeration unit, the DC-to-AC variable invertor being configured to convert the DC electrical energy from the energy storage device to AC electrical energy in a variable continuous energy output to power the transportation refrigeration unit.
