Method and apparatus for producing hydrocarbons
A method for producing hydrocarbons is proposed, in which a product stream containing hydrocarbons is produced from a methane-rich feed stream and from an oxygen-rich feed stream in a reaction unit which is configured for implementing a method for oxidative coupling of methane, the product stream or at least a stream formed therefrom being treated cryogenically in at least one separation unit using at least one liquid, methane-rich stream. It is provided that in the at least one separation unit (10) a recycle stream is formed from methane contained in product stream (c) and from methane contained in the at least one liquid, methane-rich stream (e, v), the recycle stream being fed to the reaction unit (1) as the methane-rich feed stream (a), and in that the liquid, methane-rich stream (e, v) is provided as makeup.
MONOBLOC ASSEMBLY FOR A DEVICE WHICH CAN CARRY OUT TRANSFER OF HEAT
A method for transfer of heat between a first and a second fluid, wherein the first and the second fluid circulate respectively on both sides of a thermally conductive wall of a monobloc assembly formed in a single piece. The monobloc assembly, which is arranged in the interior of a device, includes: a first, three-dimensional, cellular, thermally conductive structure through which the first fluid can pass; at least the thermally conductive wall; and a second, three-dimensional, cellular, thermally conductive structure through which the second fluid can pass. The first and second three-dimensional, cellular structures are situated on both sides of and integral with the wall such that heat transfer is carried out from the first to the second fluid through the wall, and both first and second fluids are under liquid phases and under gaseous phases, with the liquid phases circulating in a direction opposite that of the gaseous phases.
Process and device for the cryogenic separation of synthesis gas
The invention relates to a process and device for the cryogenic separation of a methane-containing feed gas predominantly consisting of hydrogen and carbon monoxide, that is partially condensed in this case by cooling, in order to obtain a hydrogen-containing first liquid phase predominantly consisting of carbon monoxide and methane, from which first liquid phase, in an H.sub.2 separation column that is heated via a circulation heater, a second liquid phase is generated by separating off hydrogen, from which second liquid phase, in a CO/CH.sub.4 separation column, a carbon monoxide-rich gas phase is obtained having a purity that permits release thereof as carbon monoxide product. It is characteristic in this case that a low-methane material stream is withdrawn from the H.sub.2 separation column and is then applied to the CO/CH.sub.4 separation column as reflux.

System and method for cryogenic purification of a feed stream comprising hydrogen, methane, nitrogen and argon
A system and method for cryogenic purification of a hydrogen, nitrogen, methane and argon containing feed stream to produce a methane free, hydrogen and nitrogen containing synthesis gas and a methane rich fuel gas, as well as to recover an argon product stream, excess hydrogen, and excess nitrogen is provided. The disclosed system and method are particularly useful as an integrated cryogenic purifier in an ammonia synthesis process in an ammonia plant. The excess nitrogen is a nitrogen stream substantially free of methane and hydrogen that can be used in other parts of the plant, recovered as a gaseous nitrogen product and/or liquefied to produce a liquid nitrogen product.
