Variable humidity drying

In one example, a multi-stage hot air dryer in which each successive stage is configured to take in air discharged from a prior stage and discharge it on to an article moving through the dryer from the last stage to the first stage such that the article is exposed to higher humidity air first in the dryer and to lower humidity air last in the dryer.

Method and apparatus for manufacturing natural fiber based staple fibers on a common surface

The application relates to a method and apparatus for manufacturing a natural fiber based staple fibers. The application further relates to the staple fibers, staple fiber based raw wool and products comprising such. A method comprises providing a cellulose suspension (101, 310, 510) including water, refined cellulose fibrils and at least one rheology modifier, directing the cellulose suspension through a nozzle (102, 320, 520) onto a surface (300, 400, 500), drying the cellulose suspension onto the surface (103, 300, 400, 500) for forming a fiber (350, 550), and cutting the cellulose suspension on the surface for forming staple fibers (105).

APPARATUS FOR DRYING ELECTRODE PLATE

An apparatus for drying an electrode plate includes a drying furnace configure to dry an electrode plate having a slurry coated thereon, an over-heated steam supplier configured to supply the drying furnace with over-heated steam as a drying heat source, a circulation fan configured to inhale at least some of the over-heated steam discharged from the drying furnace and to introduce the inhaled over-heated steam back into the drying furnace, an exhaust fan configured to inhale at least some of the gas exhausted from the drying furnace, and a heat exchanger configured to exchange heat of the exhaust gas supplied from the exhaust fan.

Adjustable interlacing of drying rollers in a print system

Systems and methods for adjustable interlacing of drying rollers in a print system. One system is an apparatus that includes first rollers that conduct heat from a heat source, and dry a web of print media as the web travels over a front side of the first rollers in a first direction. A last roller of the first rollers turns the web in a second direction. The apparatus also includes second rollers disposed a distance above the first rollers and that transport the web in the second direction. The apparatus further includes a movement mechanism that reduces the distance between the second rollers and the first rollers to cause the second rollers to occupy spaces between the first rollers so that the web traveling in the second direction contacts a back side of the first rollers to further dry the web.
