SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ASSESSMENT OF FOOD ITEM DRYNESS
Described herein are systems and methods for determining dryness of produce using image data. A method can include receiving, by a computing system and from an imaging device, image data of a batch of produce, performing, by the computing system, object detection to identify each produce in a frame of the image data, extracting, by the computing system, temperature values in pixels of the identified produce in the frame, and determining, by the computing system, distribution characteristics of the extracted temperature values. The method can also include predicting, by the computing system, a dryness metric for the batch of produce based on applying a trained model to the determined distribution characteristics. The model can be trained using temperature distributions of other produce, the temperature distributions being annotated based on previous mappings of skewness of the temperature distributions to dryness.
Battery plate grid dryer system and method
A system for drying a battery plate grid is disclosed. The system includes a pair of heated rollers disposed adjacent to one another, and a conveyor belt arranged to transfer the battery plate grids toward the heated rollers, such that the battery plate grid passes between, and comes in contact with, each of the heated rollers. The system includes a convection oven arranged to circulate convection heat around the battery plate grid when the battery plate grid completes transfer through the heated rollers.
Lumber kiln conveyor system
Embodiments provide a conveyor for conveying loads of lumber through a lumber kiln or other structure without the use of lumber carts or pushers. The conveyor may include a plurality of rollers arranged to form a flow path through the lumber kiln. Groups of the rollers may be driven by separate drives that are configured to rotate the rollers in opposite rotary directions and/or at variable speeds. Some or all of the drives may be operable independently of the other drives to transport loads of lumber at different speeds/directions in adjacent areas of the lumber kiln. In the event of a fire or a shut-down, the rollers in the proximal half of the kiln and those in the distal half of the kiln can be rotated in opposite directions to evacuate loads quickly from both ends.
MOBILE VENEER DRYER
Embodiments provide a veneer dryer system and methods of constructing, relocating, and replacing veneer dryers and other constructs such as lumber kilns, machinery, and processing lines or parts thereof. Embodiments of a veneer dryer system may include a track and a veneer dryer movably coupled with the track. The track may extend between the desired location of the veneer dryer and a construction location. Movers may be coupled with the track at the construction location. The veneer dryer may be partially or fully constructed on the movers and moved to the desired location for use. A pre-existing veneer dryer at the desired location may remain operational during the construction and removed before the new veneer dryer is moved into place, substantially reducing downtime and costs as compared to prior methods of replacing veneer dryers.
Tunnel for Drying Fruit and Vegetables
The present disclosure consists of a drying tunnel for fruits or vegetables which comprises an impulsion and heating chamber and a plenum, configured for receiving an outgoing hot air generated in the impulsion and heating chamber by the generator, so that the plenum comprises openings arranged in a staggered pattern, located on the lower surface thereof, with an opening density between 150 to 300 openings per square meter, wherein said openings are configured for expelling a distributed hot air from inside the plenum in a perpendicular way towards a conveyor system, configured for moving fruits and vegetables to be dried.
VENEER SHEET FEED DEVICE FOR MULTISTAGE VENEER SHEET DRYER
A veneer sheet feed device for multistage veneer sheet dryer is provided between an auto feeder including a carry-in conveyor and a roll dryer (veneer sheet dryer). The veneer sheet feed device is provided with a guide member and a feed conveyor for feeding a veneer sheet carried in from the carry-in conveyor to each conveyance unit of the roll dryer in this order from a conveyance up stream side. The veneer sheet feed device further provided with a pivot mechanism that allows a starting end of the guide member belonging to the conveyance stage immediately above the conveyance stage in which the veneer sheet is carried this time from the carry-in conveyor to pivot to a portion above a horizontal position of a roller shaft located at a terminal end of this guide member.
Automated System for Drying Conditions of Electrodes for Secondary Battery
An automated system for drying conditions of electrodes for secondary battery includes a transfer unit for transferring a preliminary electrode in which an electrode active material slurry is coated onto a current collector, a drying unit arranged along the transfer direction and dry the preliminary electrode, a sensor for measuring the electrode temperature of the preliminary electrode in real time and transmitting information to a system control unit, and a system control unit for receiving information from the sensors and adjusting the drying conditions, wherein the adjustment of the drying conditions is to change the conditions when the information received from the sensors satisfies the condition 1 or 2: wherein condition 1 is α, the electrode temperature increase rate of the preliminary electrode, and β, the electrode temperature increase acceleration of the preliminary electrode.
CONTAINER WASH SYSTEM
A container washing system may include a wash system, a drying system, and a conveying system. The conveying system may include a series of rollers to provide a path for a container to pass through the wash system and the drying system. The wash system and drying system may be housed in a containment structure, which may be mounted to a trailer thereby allowing the container washing system to be portable. The wash system may include one or more water jets for spraying water at a container carried by the conveying system, and the drying system may include one or more air nozzles for directing moving air at the container carried by the conveying system. The conveying system may be motorized to automatically convey the container through the wash system and the drying system. The water may be reclaimed, filtered, and recirculated through the wash system.
