The method comprises the steps of guiding the slurry (2) from the livestock farm (1) to a dewatering unit (12) in which the slurry (2) is at least partially dewatered by extracting a watery fraction of said slurry (13), guiding the slurry from the dewatering unit (12) to a steam dryer (3), drying the slurry in the steam dryer (3), guiding the dried slurry (4) into a pyrolysis reactor (5) to produce pyrolysis gas (6) and biochar (7) through a pyrolysis process in the pyrolysis reactor (5), guiding at least a portion of the pyrolysis gas (6) to a combustion unit (8) in which the pyrolysis gas portion is combusted to raise the temperature of the combusted pyrolysis gas (9), guiding the combusted pyrolysis gas (9) to the pyrolysis reactor (5) to drive the pyrolysis process, guiding the combusted pyrolysis gas (9) from the pyrolysis reactor (5) to the steam dryer (3) to increase the temperature of steam (10) in the steam dryer (3), and heating the watery fraction of the slurry 13 to a temperature at least above 75° Celsius by means of the steam (10) from said steam dryer (3). Furthermore, a slurry treatment plant (20) for reducing methane emission from slurry (2) is disclosed.
SOLID FECES TREATMENT APPARATUS AND INDIVIDUAL FECES TREATMENT SYSTEM INCLUDING SAME
A solid feces treatment apparatus includes a dehydrator extracting a liquid component from first solid feces to produce second solid feces, a dryer evaporating a liquid component of the second solid feces to produce third solid feces, and a combustor burning the third solid feces, wherein the second solid feces have a solid content of about 25% to about 30%, and the third solid feces have a solid content greater than or equal to about 90% and less than about 100%.
LOW-ENERGY DRYING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A low-energy drying system and method including a drying bed having at least four edges for holding the material to be dried, walls connected to the edges of the drying bed, a cover encompassing the drying bed and the wall, the cover having air permeable side walls, and air flow directors for directing air over the material in the drying bed.
Method for producing a plastic granulate
The invention relates to a method for producing a plastic granulate (16), in which a process fluid (12) is contained in a process chamber (10) where an underwater granulation takes place and the process fluid in the process chamber has a temperature greater than 120° C. A process pressure of at least 2.0 bar is obtained in the process chamber, at which a granulation of the plastic strands (14) into plastic granulate occurs. From the process chamber, a mixture (18) of process fluid and plastic granulate is diverted into a first cooling zone (25) during cooling of the plastic granulate, while maintaining the process pressure. In a first separating device (22), the plastic granulate is separated from the process fluid under process pressure. In the process chamber, the process fluid has a temperature in the range from 120° C. to 160° C., and the process pressure obtained there is greater than the pressure of the vapour pressure curve of the process fluid. After separation from the process fluid in the first separating device, the plastic granulate is fed continuously in a line to a dealdehydization container (46).
APPARATUS FOR PRESSING AND DEHYDRATING OF WASTE
Apparatus for pressing and drying a pre-defined amount of waste includes a metal main frame positioned to provide rigid support, and a body mechanically linked to the main frame through a plurality of linkage plates. The apparatus also includes an inlet vertically mounted on the body and a twin screw assembly to press and dehydrate the pre-defined amount of waste. A plurality of mesh screens is rigidly linked to the main frame along the longitudinal axis of the apparatus to remove compressed liquid. The body is also designed to support rotation of the twin screw assembly, and the inlet includes an ingress cross-sectional opening to receive the pre-defined amount of waste.
Poultry management device having a drying device
A poultry management device comprises a living area for the poultry, a collection device having a collection face for poultry droppings, the collection device being disposed below the living area, and a drying device configured for drying the poultry droppings on the collection device. The drying device comprises a fan element which is mounted so as to be pivotable about a pivot axis which is aligned at an angle of 45° to 90° in relation to the collection face.
Cathodic protection for wood veneer dryers and method for reducing corrosion of wood veneer dryers
A cathodic protection system for use with a wood veneer dryer is provided. The system includes a DC power supply and an anode mounted inside the dryer in a position to be electrolytically coupled to metallic structures or surfaces inside the dryer when an electrolytic medium is present inside the dryer. The electrolytic medium comprises a high-humidity atmosphere. A method for reducing the corrosion of metallic structures or surfaces inside the dryer is further provided. The method comprises mounting an anode inside the dryer in a position to be electrolytically coupled to the metallic structures or surfaces inside the dryer when an electrolytic medium is present. Wood veneer is conveyed through the dryer and heated to a temperature sufficient to produce a high-humidity atmosphere inside the dryer. A controlled amount of current is supplied by the DC power supply to electrolytically couple the anode to the metallic structures or surfaces.
SOLAR TOWER TO DRY ORGANIC MATTER ON A LARGE SCALE
The present invention is directed to time and energy efficient drying of organic matter. The present invention features a drying system which may include a solar tower, a shredder, and an input conveyor for transporting the organic matter to conveyors positioned in a cascading configuration. The system may further include sensors for collecting information, and a control system for receiving the information to determine a speed of the conveyors. The system may further include an output conveyor for transporting the organic matter from the conveyors to a storage. The system may further include water condensers to reclaim water evaporated from the organic matter to be stored and repurposed. The system may further include a solar power system for converting sunlight into power for the system. Sunlight may cause a thermal gradient within the solar tower, causing air in an upper portion to be hotter than air in a lower portion.
