METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MOLTEN IRON WITH ELECTRIC ARC FURNACE
A method for manufacturing molten iron by melting a cold iron source in an electric arc furnace having a carbonaceous material-injecting device. The method includes, in the carbonaceous material-injecting device, while a carbonaceous material is injected with a carrier gas through a central portion of the carbonaceous material-injecting device, injecting a fuel and a combustion-supporting gas through respective outer peripheral portions of the carbonaceous material-injecting device. The carbonaceous material injected through the central portion passes through a cylindrical combustion flame generated by a combustion reaction between the fuel and the combustion-supporting gas and is injected into molten slag and molten iron.
PLASMA INDUCED FUMING FURNACE
Disclosed is a single-chamber furnace for fuming an evaporable metal or metal compound from a metallurgical charge including a bath furnace for containing a molten charge up to a determined level, the furnace being equipped with a non-transferred plasma torch for the generation of plasma and a first submerged injector for injecting the plasma below the determined level, the furnace further including an afterburning zone to form an oxidized form of the at least one evaporable metal or metal compound, and a recovery zone for recovering the oxidized form from the gas formed in the afterburning zone, whereby the furnace is further equipped with a second submerged injector for injecting extra gas into the furnace below the determined level. Further disclosed is the use of the furnace and a process for fuming an evaporable metal or metal compound from a metallurgical charge.
Smelting apparatus and metallurgical processes thereof
A smelting apparatus for smelting metallic ore comprising a furnace having a continuous curved wall and end walls defining a longitudinal volume having a longitudinal axis in a horizontal direction. The continuous curved wall has a lowermost area. The longitudinal volume is divided in at least three longitudinal layers comprising a top layer within which gasified fuel is combusted for creating a hot gas composition to release, from the metallic ore, at least molten metal and slag, a lowermost layer at the lowermost area for holding molten metal, and a mid-layer above the lowermost layer in which the slag accumulates. The present document also describes processes using the smelting apparatus for producing ferrous and non-ferrous minerals from a metallic ore.
HIGH-EFFICIENCY FURNACE
An installation for melting a composition of raw materials, suitable for obtaining glass wool, textile glass yarns and/or flat glass, includes a melting chamber equipped with at least one submerged burner, wherein the melting chamber is defined by side walls made of refractory material and a bare metal bottom traversed by a network of pipes adapted for the circulation of a cooling fluid.
APPARATUS, BURNER AND METHOD FOR THE FIRING OF CERAMIC ARTICLES
A burner for the firing of ceramic articles (T) which can be installed in an industrial kiln and comprising a mixing body, a first tubular discharge element, which is configured to be passed through by a fluid (F) flowing out of the mixing body, at least one second tubular discharge element and a suction element, which is configured to bring at least part of the gases (G, G′) present inside the firing chamber into the second tubular discharge element and is provided with one or more openings arranged between the first and the second tubular discharge elements. The mixing body comprises a multi-stage combustion head arranged at least partially inside the first tubular discharge element.
Combustion device for melting furnace, and melting furnace
An object of the present invention is to provide a combustion device which does not cause an increase in the amount of generated NOx or a degradation in efficiency due to a lower flame luminance, even when the combustion space is limited in the lengthwise direction of the flame. A fuel ejector is configured so as to be provided with at least a first fuel ejector and a second fuel ejector lined up in a specific direction as viewed in the lengthwise direction of fuel ejection, and is configured so that a first ejection stream ejected from the first fuel ejector and the second fuel ejector collide on the downstream side of ejection.
Continuous horizontal-feeding preheating device and preheating enhancement method thereof
The present invention belongs to the technical field of metallurgy, and discloses a horizontal continuous feeding preheating device and an enhanced preheating method therefor. The scheme comprises that two dust removal ports are arranged at the front and rear parts of a horizontal continuous feeding preheating duct, and the horizontal continuous feeding preheating duct is divided into an enhanced preheating area and a flue gas preheating area by the two dust removal ports arranged at the front and rear parts of the horizontal continuous feeding preheating duct; burners are installed in the enhanced preheating area, and the two dust removal ports are connected with a flue gas adjusting distributor respectively by a flue gas pipeline the steel scrap preheating efficiency of the burners and electric arc furnace flue gas is increased by controlling the flow rate and temperature of mixed flue gas.
