METHOD OF FORMING POSITIVE ELECTRODE ACTIVE MATERIAL, KILN, AND HEATING FURNACE
To provide a method of forming a positive electrode active material with high productivity. To provide a manufacturing apparatus capable of forming a positive electrode active material with high productivity. Provided is a method of forming a positive electrode active material including lithium, a transition metal, oxygen, and fluorine. An adhesion preventing step is performed during heating of an object. Examples of the adhesion preventing step include stirring by rotating a furnace during the heating, stirring by vibrating a container containing an object during the heating, and crushing performed between the plurality of heating steps. By these manufacturing methods, a positive electrode active material having favorable distribution of an additive at the surface portion can be formed.
FUNCTIONALLY GRADED FIRING SETTERS AND PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING THESE SETTERS
A functionally graded firing setter that includes a substrate layer of cubic oxide; a top layer of unstabilized zirconium dioxide/hafnium dioxide; and a continuous transitional gradient layer disposed between the substrate layer and the top layer. The continuous transitional gradient layer includes cubic oxide stabilized zirconium dioxide/hafnium dioxide. The cubic oxide can be calcium oxide (CaO) or magnesium oxide (MgO).
DEVICE FOR PRODUCING EXPANDED MINERAL GRANULATED MATERIAL
An apparatus for producing a bloated mineral granulate with a heated processing channel (1) for the mineral granulate fed to a conveying flow (13), wherein an inflow opening (4) is provided in the processing channel (1) for forming a granulate-free laminar flow (5) running along the inner wall of the processing channel, is described.
In order to design a device of the type described above in such a way that a continuous, qualitatively controllable production process is achieved, it is proposed in that the processing channel (1) comprises two channel sections (16), (17) with differing cross-sections, wherein the channel section (16) with a smaller cross-section projects into the channel section (17) with a larger cross-section, forming the inflow opening (4), and wherein the channel section (16) with a smaller cross-section is enclosed by the channel section (17) with a larger cross-section in such a way that an inflow opening (4) is formed completely around the projecting region of the channel section (16) with a smaller cross-section.
Metallurgical vessel lining with enclosed metal layer
A lining structure for a refractory vessel contains a first layer containing refractory material; a second layer, in communication with and parallel to the first layer, containing a metal layer or component; and a third layer, in communication with and parallel to the second layer, containing refractory material. The metal component in the second layer contains filled transverse passages, between the surface of the second layer in contact with the first layer and the surface of the second layer in contact with the third layer, producing support structures to maintain the structural integrity of the refractory vessel in use.
Heat treatment facility
A heat treatment facility performing a heat treatment on a workpiece, the heat treatment facility includes: a treatment container in which the workpiece is housed; a heater which is provided in the treatment container and heats the workpiece by radiation heat at least from below the workpiece; and a plurality of support posts which are provided in the treatment container and support the workpiece.
Vane handling frame
A framework for handling blades, comprising a bottom wall carrying a plurality of intermeshed longitudinal and transverse partitions forming a grid defining a plurality of housings each able to receive a blade. The framework comprises rods for supporting and holding the blades remote from the base wall and said longitudinal and transverse partitions, said rods crossing the longitudinal and transverse partitions and extending into the housings and being produced, at least externally, from a thermally insulating material.
