HEAT EXCHANGER LIMITING THE RISK OF CONTAMINATION BETWEEN TWO FLUIDS AND AIRCRAFT COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE SUCH HEAT EXCHANGER
A heat exchanger including a sealed housing and a body positioned inside the housing, the body including a stack of least one first assembly of first and second plates pressed against each other, between which flows a first fluid, and at least one second assembly of third and fourth plates pressed against each other, between which flows a second fluid, the first and second assemblies being arranged so that they transfer heat between the first and second fluids. This configuration limits the risk of leaks and mixing of the two fluids.
HEAT EXCHANGER, ELECTRIC CONTROL BOX AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
A heat exchanger includes: a heat exchanger body, the heat exchanger body being provided with first micro-channels and second micro-channels; and a header assembly, including a first header and a second header. The first header is provided with a first header channel which is used for providing a first refrigerant flow to the first micro-channels and/or collecting a first refrigerant flow flowing through the first micro-channels, and the second header is provided with a second header channel which is used for providing a second refrigerant flow to the second micro-channels and/or collecting a second refrigerant flow flowing through the second micro-channels, and heat is exchanged between the first refrigerant flow flowing through the first micro-channels and the second refrigerant flow flowing through the second micro-channels.
Heat exchanger with build powder in barrier channels
An additively manufactured heat exchanger configured to transfer heat between a first fluid and a second fluid includes a first channel with a first wall configured to port flow of a first fluid and a second channel with a second wall configured to port flow of a second fluid. The heat exchanger also includes a barrier channel containing unprocessed build powder provided by the additive manufacturing process and is located between the first wall and the second wall. The barrier channel is configured to prevent mixing of the first fluid and the second fluid when one of the first wall and the second wall ruptures.
WAVY ADJACENT PASSAGE HEAT EXCHANGER CORE
A core section of a heat exchanger includes a plurality of first fluid passages through which a first fluid is flowed, and a plurality of second fluid passages through which a second fluid is flowed to exchange thermal energy with the first fluid. The plurality of first fluid passages and the plurality of second fluid passages extend non-linearly along a length of the first fluid passages and the second fluid passages between a first core end and a second core end opposite the first core end. The first fluid passages and the second fluid passages have geometry formed to maximize primary heat transfer area.
Heat transfer device
Device for heat transfer between a first fluid and one second fluid includes a housing with first housing element, second housing element and heat transfer element. Housing is developed with a first connecting fitting and a second connecting fitting for each fluid. Heat transfer element is disposed in a volume completely enclosed in a housing and is developed for through-conduction of the first fluid. Housing is developed for conduction of the second fluid about the heat transfer element. Connecting fittings for second fluid are either disposed on the first housing element and the connecting fittings for the first fluid are disposed on the second housing element, wherein within the second housing at least one flow path for conducting the first fluid is implemented which extends between a connecting fitting and a collector region or the connecting fittings for the fluids are disposed on the first housing element.
HEAT EXCHANGER CORE
A heat exchanger core includes: a first passage row which is formed by a plurality of first passages; a plurality of first dividing walls separating the plurality of first passages from each other; a second passage row which is disposed adjacent to the first passage row and is formed by a plurality of second passages; a plurality of second dividing walls separating the plurality of second passages from each other; and a partition wall located between the first passage row and the second passage row, and separating the plurality of first passages and the plurality of second passages. (a) The partition wall has a greater section modulus in an orthogonal direction than either the first dividing wall or the second partition, or (b) a constituent material of the partition wall has a greater breaking strength than a constituent material of either the first dividing wall or the second dividing wall.
HEAT EXCHANGE STRUCTURE
A heat exchange structure includes: two flow channels stacked in a stacking direction (Y direction) and thermally coupled to each other; and a fin structure detachably installed in at least one flow channel of the two flow channels. The fin structure includes fins arranged in a longitudinal direction (Z direction) of the at least one flow channel in which the fin structure is installed, the fins configured to form openings alternately arranged along the at least one flow channel on one side and the other side of the at least one flow channel in the stacking direction.
Heat exchanger
A heat exchanger (4) has fluid flow channels (6) with at least one heat exchanging surface (10) which has an undulating surface section for which the surface profile varies along a predetermined direction such that at a first edge (E1) the surface profile follows a first transverse wave (20), at a second edge (E)2 the surface profile follows a second transverse wave (22) and at an intermediate point I between the edges the surface profile follows a third transverse wave (24). The third transverse wave (24) has a different phase, frequency or amplitude to the first and second transverse waves so that chevron-shaped ridges and valleys are formed. This improves the mixing of fluid passing through the channel and hence the heat exchange efficiency.
Heat exchanger
A heat exchanger for a gas turbine engine comprising a compressor, a combustor and a turbine. The heat exchanger comprising alternating hot and cold channels. Compressed air from the compressor flows through the cold channels and exhaust gas from the turbine flows through the hot channels. Each cold channel comprises first and second opposing surfaces conveying compressed air along a first path. Each cold channel comprises rows of vortex generators and pin fins extending from the first or second surfaces along the first path. The rows extend substantially perpendicular to the first path. Each hot channel is defined by a first and second opposing surfaces conveying exhaust gas along a second path substantially perpendicular to the first path. Each hot channel comprises rows of vortex generators and pin fins extending from the first or second surfaces along the second path. The rows extend substantially perpendicularly to the second path.
