A heat exchanger includes: a case which has a first side wall that stands upright in a vertical height direction and to which a heating medium is supplied inside; and heat transfer tubes for heating hot water housed in the case. Two end portions of the heat transfer tubes in a longitudinal direction are joined to the first side wall via brazing portions, and the heat transfer tubes are supported by the first side wall. The heat exchanger further includes heat transfer tube support portions provided on the first side wall for supporting portions of the heat transfer tubes near the first side wall to prevent the portions of the heat transfer tubes near the first side wall from descending below a first predetermined height.

STEAM EXCHANGE HUMIDIFIER

A steam exchange humidifier comprising a heat exchanger inside a tank, the tank comprising a drain and fluid inlet port for fluid in and out of the tank and a steam outlet; the heat exchanger comprising a heat exchanger array, a steam collector, a condensate collector, a steam supply port and condensate return port; the steam collector being connected to the steam supply port, and the condensate collector being connected to the condensate return port; the steam collector and the condensate collector being connected by the heat exchanger array, wherein the tank is a generally vertical body.

Multiple cooled supports for heat exchange tubes in heat exchanger

A heat exchanger includes a casing configured to direct a working fluid therethrough, and at least one heat exchanger (HE) section in the casing. Each HE section includes a pair of spaced supports. The spaced supports include: an upstream support and a downstream support with at least one of them including a coolant carrying body configured to direct a coolant therethrough. A first cross-support couples to and extends between respective upstream and downstream supports; and at least one second cross-support couples to and extends between the respective upstream and downstream supports. Cross-supports are vertically distanced from adjacent cross-supports. A plurality of tube positioners coupled to each cross-support position a plurality of heat exchange tubes extending across a working fluid path through the casing. The tube positioners and the cooling of the cross-supports allows ferritic material to be used for once-through, duct-fired HRSGs.

An axial flow baffle for a shell and tube heat exchanger includes a substantially planar body configured for transverse arrangement in a longitudinally elongated shell of the shell and tube heat exchanger, a plurality of axial flow tube apertures each comprising a central tube hole configured to receive a tube of the heat exchanger, and an array of peripheral primary flow holes circumferentially spaced apart around the tube hole. The primary flow holes each interrupt the central tube hole and formed a radially inward projecting tube support protrusions between the primary flow holes which engage a single tube. Each primary flow hole has a non-polygonal configuration, which may be semicircular in some embodiments. The primary flow holes create axial flow around the periphery of the tubes through the baffles. In another aspect, a hybrid cross-flow baffle includes a combination of axial flow tube apertures and circular tube support holes.
