HEAT EXCHANGER TUBE PLUG INSTALLATION
A method of tube plug installation in a heat exchanger or pressure vessel is provided. The method includes verifying the suitability of a selected tube plug with a specifically identified type of heat exchanger or pressure vessel before installation of the selected tube plug. The step of verifying being performed with a device having an app, software, or user interface and after having entered or accessed data concerning the selected tube plug and entering or accessing data concerning the specifically identified type of heat exchanger or pressure vessel and operating parameters of the specifically identified type of heat exchanger or pressure vessel.

Expandable Tapered Pin Plug For Heat Exchangers and Air Cooled Heat Exchangers
A tube plug for securely sealing a tube to be plugged. The tube plug has a housing member with a non-cylindrical body and a deformable wall. An insert member having a threaded shank and a ramped ferrule can be threaded into the body to deform the deformable wall outwardly and into engagement with the tube to be sealed. The non-cylindrical body allow the plug to be inserted into and used to plug a tube that is in a difficult to reach location and whose diameter may not be precisely known.

Heat exchanger tube plug
A heat exchange plug that plugs the aperture of a tubesheet with a leaking tube while also securing the tube against movement that could damage other tubes of the tubesheet. A cylindrical housing member with two different diameter body section can be inserted so that the wider diameter section is positioned in the aperture of the tubesheet and the smaller diameter section is located in the tube. An eccentric ring at the end of the housing member can engage the tube and prevent rotation as an insert member is advanced into the rear of the housing member via a threaded shank of the insert member that engages a threaded inner bore of the housing member. A ramped surface of the housing member deforms the wall of the larger diameter section of the housing member outwardly to plug the aperture while the smaller diameter section secures the tube in place.

Tube Transition
A tube transition fitting is formed having a first end, a second end, a head, a body, a weld area, and a first wall thickness and second wall thickness. A tube seat is formed on a surface connected to the body, the surface being adjacent a transition from the first wall thickness to the second wall thickness. A tube transition assembly includes a header portion, the tube transition fitting, and a heat exchange tube, each being connected using one or more simplified and/or heat-optimized connections.

Enhanced device for piercing plugs in a steam generator
An enhancing device for piercing plugs in a steam generator is provided. The enhancing device includes a main body, and a bit, borne by the main body and extending along a longitudinal axis. The bit may be driven into rotation around its longitudinal axis, in order to perform an action for piercing a plug. The device includes a hollow tubular element, extending along the longitudinal axis, while surrounding the bit and coaxially with this bit, the tubular element including an outer surface having a screwing thread, intended to be screwed onto the plug prior to the piercing. The tubular element may be driven into rotation around the longitudinal axis, independently of the rotation of the bit.
