Coil wound heat exchanger
A coil-wound heat exchanger with mixed refrigerant shell side cooling that is adapted to reduce radial temperature maldistribution by providing tube sheets at one end of a warm bundle that are each connected to tube sheets in a single circumferential zone and are in fluid flow communication with a control valve. Tube sheets at the other end of the warm bundle are each connected to tube sheets in a single radial section and in multiple circumferential zones. A temperature sensor is provided in each circumferential zone. When a temperature difference is detected, one or more of the control valves is adjusted to reduce the temperature difference.

Pump and cooling substrate
A pump includes a pump flow path and electrodes and dielectric members in the pump flow path to allow a fluid to pass through the electrodes and the dielectric members in a flowing direction. The electrodes and the dielectric members are alternately stacked in the flowing direction so that a dielectric member is located between adjacent electrodes. Among the electrodes, an inter-electrode polarity of each pair of electrodes is different from that of an adjacent pair of electrodes. The dielectric members include a first dielectric member at a position of an odd-numbered dielectric member counted from the most upstream side of the flowing direction and a second dielectric member at a position of an even-numbered dielectric member counted from the most upstream side of the flowing direction. Material of the first and second dielectric members provide signs of a zeta potential opposite to each other.
APPARATUS FOR SUPPLYING OR DISSIPATING HEAT, FOR CARRYING OUT REACTIONS AND FOR MIXING AND DISPERSING FLOWING MEDIA
An apparatus for supplying and dissipating heat, for carrying out reactions and for mixing and dispersing flowing media in a housing with an internal diameter for a medium and comprising internal fittings made up of a bundle of tubes with an external diameter or made up of other elongate elements oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing is provided. The apparatus includes crosspieces or crosspiece layers installed crosswise between the elongate elements. The crosspieces are inclined in relation to the longitudinal axis of the housing and are not in contact. After axially successive crosspieces, or a length, the crosspieces are installed between the tubes and turned by preferably 90°. A heat-transfer medium can flow in a co-current or counter-current mode. This results in a mixer/heat exchanger or reactor with an extremely large heat-transfer capacity and almost plug flow.
