An automatic recoilless firearm comprising a gun barrel and a compensating mass launch tube in which a projectile is accelerated in one direction inside said gun barrel counterbalanced by a compensating mass accelerated in the opposite direction inside said launch tube thereby minimizing recoil and further providing means of automatic ammunition handling. Said firearm further comprises a bolt or bolts and barrels configured to reduce or eliminate transmission of momentum and mechanical energy to the gun barrels and/or gun body during an operation of the firearm.

A recoilless firearm apparatus for firing at least one bullet of a respective standard cartridge, including a front barrel, a disposable firing activator and a rear discharge opening formed behind the front barrel and aligned with the longitudinal axis of the front barrel. The standard cartridge further includes a casing having an external diameter that is smaller than the rear cartridge-chamber diameter, wherein the casing encloses a sealed inner-casing space that contains gunpowder, and wherein the casing includes a primer. Upon activating the primer, the primer explodes to thereby detonate the gunpowder, forming propellant gasses inside the cartridge that are directed both forward and backward as follows: a) forward: firing of the bullet via the front barrel; and b) backward: pushing, by a recoil force F.sub.p, the casing, being a counterweight to the bullet, to thereby eject the casing from the firearm apparatus via the rear discharge opening.

An improved barrel clamp assembly for a multi-barreled minigun includes a barrel clamp tube having a front end, a rear end, and a plurality of longitudinal openings extending between the front end and the rear end. An impeller is mounted in the barrel clamp tube between the tube front end and the tube rear end. The impeller includes a plurality of impeller blades that are spaced around a periphery of the impeller and that project forward from a rear flange portion of the impeller and the impeller blades define a plurality of air channels. A barrel assembly includes the barrel clamp tube, a flash suppressor mounted to the front end of the barrel clamp tube, and a barrel clamp co liar mounted to the rear end of the barrel clamp tube. The impeller is mounted to the barrel clamp tube between the flash suppressor and the barrel clamp collar.

A semiautomatic or fully automatic firearm that includes a barrel, the rear barrel end whereof is in the form of a cartridge chamber into which a cartridge can be inserted, a breech body which is arranged such that it can move in the longitudinal direction between an open position, which releases the cartridge chamber for the reloading of a cartridge, and a closed position which closes the cartridge chamber, wherein the breech body closes the cartridge chamber at the rear in the closed position and is used as a support for the cartridge case of the cartridge, wherein the firearm has a mass simulation body which is in force-fitting engagement with the breech body, in particular a mass simulation body which is rigidly connected to the breech body, the mass simulation body being formed at least in part from a magnetizable or a magnetic material.
