RIFLES AND MUZZLE LOADING RIFLES RECEIVING PROPELLANT CHARGE WITH AN EXTENDED PRIMER CAP IN A BOLT ACTION CONFIGURATION, AND METHOD OF LOADING
A bolt action rifle having a receiver; a bolt in slidable communication within said receiver, having an elongated body and a bolt head at a first end, and an exposed bolt face with a primer recess cavity having a base with a forward-facing surface, the base having an aperture therein, where the aperture is circumscribed by the forward-facing surface for receiving a propellant charge having an extended primer cap, and a firing pin within the bolt and movable between a disengaged position wherein a firing pin head is receded within the aperture and an engaged position wherein the firing pin head extends beyond the forward-facing surface into the primer recess cavity.
Flare Gun
A flare gun with a barrel configured to be released in a horizontal direction is described. In embodiments, the horizontally opening barrel provides greater accuracy and ease of mounting additional equipment to the flare gun. In embodiments, the horizontally opening barrel also includes an in built extractor system to automatically extract the spent shell casings as the barrel is released. A compact and reliable hammer arrangement has been disclosed that provides better protection against rust and is hence more suited for marine applications. This hammer arrangement can be employed in either a horizontal or vertical barrel configuration. Additionally, extractor systems and barrel release systems to be employed in either a horizontal or vertical barrel configuration are described.

Rifles and muzzle loading rifles receiving propellant charges in break open and bolt action configurations, and barrel extensions therefor
A break open rifle and bolt action rifle having a barrel extension with a breech end for receiving a propellant charge, a muzzle end with an extended attachment structure for receiving a complementary attachment structure of a barrel, and a chamber disposed within and through the barrel extension having a first diameter at a first end and a narrowing portion adjacent a second end opposite the first end, the narrowing portion having a second diameter smaller than the first diameter, wherein the first diameter of the chamber is sized to receive the propellant charge therein, and the second diameter of the narrowing portion is sized to prevent the propellant charge from being further inserted past the narrowing portion, and to prevent a projectile from being inserted through the chamber from the barrel muzzle end. A bolt action configuration having dual diameter non-rotating bolt with an extractor and ejector mechanism for removing a propellant charge.

RIFLE FRAME OF A BREAK-OPEN ACTION RIFLE HAVING A RECESS FOR RECEIVING AN EXTENDED PORTION OF A PRIMER CAP-PROPELLANT CHARGE ASSEMBLY
A break open rifle having a barrel assembly with a breech end for receiving a propellant charge—primer cap assembly, a muzzle end, and a carve out, slot, indentation, cavity, or recess, which receives a portion of the propellant charge—primer cap assembly extending beyond the rim of the propellant charge. A ramp section of the recess, adjacent to the first end of the barrel assembly, is included to facilitate receiving the extension of the primer cap in a rotational fashion as the break open rifle is configured from the OPEN position to the CLOSED position. The recess and accompanying ramp section are configured to receive that portion of the primer cap which extends from the flush surface of the propellant charge rim, independent whether the configuration includes a barrel extension or not. The ramp is configured to receive the extended portion of the primer cap as the loaded rifle is placed in the CLOSED position to prepare for firing.
