Safety mechanism for firearms

A firearm with dual-acting safety mechanism includes a hammer, sear operable to hold the hammer in a cocked position, and trigger mechanism including a trigger and trigger bar which collectively operates to rotate the sear to release the hammer. The safety mechanism includes a safety mode selector or actuator cooperating with a secondary safety link. In one arrangement, linearly moving the selector actuates and rotates the safety link which simultaneously both blocks the hammer and displaces the trigger bar such that the sear can no longer be actuated via a trigger pull.

RIFLE WITH SAFETY GROUP

A rifle has a fixed main body, including a barrel, a receiver with an upper opening, and a breech element. A trigger group is at least partially housed in the receiver, including a trigger, a hammer device operable by the trigger, and a safety member positionable in a shooting position, disengaged from the hammer device and in a safety position, engaged with and blocking the hammer device. A carriage assembly with a shutter group is positioned on the receiver at the upper opening and axially movable by the user between an advanced shooting configuration and a retracted rearming configuration. The carriage assembly includes a safety group controllable by the user, with the carriage assembly in the advanced configuration, in a ready-to-shoot configuration, in which it is disengaged from the safety member, and a safety configuration, in which it engages and keeps the safety member in the safety position.

Offset firearm selector switch

A safety assembly for a rifle having a pistol grip extending from a receiver, the receiver having an operative safety shaft rotatable between a safety position and a fire position, the shaft positioned above and rearwardly of the trigger, and above and forward of the pistol grip. The shaft rotatable 90 degrees between a safe position and a fire position, a thumb engagement handle having an angled gripping portion angled from the shaft downwardly and rearwardly for the fire position and rearwardly and upwardly in the safe position, whereby the positioning allows that when the firearm is operated and the user grips the pistol grip, the user does not need to release and/or rotate the pistol grip to switch between fire and safe positions of the safety shaft with the thumb of the gripping hand.

Semiautomatic firearm with manual rechambering

The semiautomatic firearm comprises: a movable assembly (4) adapted to move against a return spring (10) by recovered energy resulting from pressure exerted when firing an ammunition (7), wherein the firearm comprises a stopper, a latch and a striker cooperating with a hammer (5) controlled by a trigger (6), at least one of a pivoting fork and a hammer used for locking the movable assembly in a compressed position of the return spring at a rear position of movement of the movable assembly, after each shot, an unlocking assembly (12) that is manually actionable and able to act on at least one of the pivoting fork and the hammer for releasing the movable assembly (4) and allowing the assisted return of the movable assembly (4) in order for reloading.
