A muzzle flash simulator for use in an airsoft gun, comprising an internal passage, a detector, a controller, and multiple illuminating components. In response to a projectile passing through and away from the internal passage, the simulator will be triggered and flash multi-color lights on a projectile passage in front of the simulator. When each color light is illuminated on the moving projectile at a specific intensity at specified time periods, because of an afterimage phenomenon of the human eye, the surface of the moving projectile reflects the corresponding color and leaves a multi-layered light-trail accordingly.

The inventive subject matter is directed to systems and apparatuses that are designed to work in cooperation with a firearm such that the firearm can fire a less lethal projectile. Systems can include a mounting device that clips onto a firearm, where that mounting device also include mounting posts. The mounting posts protrude from an end of the mounting device, and the mounting posts are designed to couple with mounting holes on an associated slug. Slugs of the inventive subject matter thus feature mounting holes and a center-bored hole that is designed to capture a bullet that is fired from a firearm that the system is coupled to. When a bullet is captured by a slug, an inelastic collision takes place that causes the slug to leave the firearm at around 20% of the bullet's original speed.

A locking firearm silencer mount or firearm muzzle accessory mount improvement system and method. The coupling device provides an internal thread and sealing taper, as well as an actively sprung locking collar with one or more locking positions. The muzzle device provides a thread and sealing taper operatively associated to the mount socket. The threads on the mount and muzzle accessory effectuate mating between the locking mount and the firearm muzzle accessory in a single axial orientation.

A muzzle accessory for installation on a barrel of a firearm is provided. The muzzle accessory includes an accessory body having a through-channel sized to receive the barrel of the firearm; and a locking member structured to engage the groove of the barrel to lock the muzzle accessory to the barrel.

Embodiments of the present disclosure include a moderator having a housing configured to attach to an air gun. The housing includes a first material configured to yield and/or fracture in response to exposure to at least one of a pressure level resulting from discharging a firearm and/or a temperature resulting from discharging a firearm and a number of openings positioned in proximity to an end of the housing. The moderator also includes a number of plugs. Each plug includes a second material configured to yield and/or fracture in response to exposure to at least one of a pressure level resulting from discharging a firearm and/or a temperature resulting from discharging a firearm. Each opening of the number of openings is configured to receive a plug of the number of plugs.

Embodiments of the present disclosure include a moderator having a housing configured to attach to an air gun. The housing includes a first material configured to yield and/or fracture in response to exposure to at least one of a pressure level resulting from discharging a firearm and/or a temperature resulting from discharging a firearm and a number of openings positioned in proximity to an end of the housing. The moderator also includes a number of plugs. Each plug includes a second material configured to yield and/or fracture in response to exposure to at least one of a pressure level resulting from discharging a firearm and/or a temperature resulting from discharging a firearm. Each opening of the number of openings is configured to receive a plug of the number of plugs.

A firearm includes a muzzle device. The muzzle device includes a muzzle adapter and a muzzle attachment. The muzzle attachment suppresses noise and/or redirects gases and recoil. The firearm utilizes recoil operation to cycle such that the barrel reciprocates inside a handguard of the firearm during cycling. The muzzle adapter is attached to the handguard and receives the barrel therein. The muzzle attachment is secured to the muzzle adapter such that the muzzle of the barrel remains longitudinally in the muzzle adapter during discharge and cycling of the firearm.

In one example, a suppressor comprises a housing, a projectile entrance, a projectile exit, one or more baffles, and a deflector chamber. The deflector extending outward from the housing and the deflector curving around a central axis of the suppressor.
