The present disclosure pertains to systems and methods for cleaning implements for firearms. In one embodiment, a single-use cleaning implement may include a hollow member; and a cleaning surface disposed along a length of the hollow member. The cleaning surface may be disposed about a circumference of the hollow member. A flexible shaft may be configured to extend through the hollow member. The flexible shaft may comprise a retainer component disposed at a distal end, the retainer component configured to abut a distal end of the cleaning implement and to impede the cleaning implement from passing over the retainer component. The flexible shaft may be used to pull the hollow cleaning implement through the barrel of the firearm while the retainer component abuts the distal end of the cleaning implement and the first cleaning surface engages with an inner surface of the barrel to clean the barrel.

The present disclosure pertains to systems and methods for cleaning implements for firearms. In one embodiment, a single-use cleaning implement may include a hollow member; and a cleaning surface disposed along a length of the hollow member. The cleaning surface may be disposed about a circumference of the hollow member. A flexible shaft may be configured to extend through the hollow member. The flexible shaft may comprise a retainer component disposed at a distal end, the retainer component configured to abut a distal end of the cleaning implement and to impede the cleaning implement from passing over the retainer component. The flexible shaft may be used to pull the hollow cleaning implement through the barrel of the firearm while the retainer component abuts the distal end of the cleaning implement and the first cleaning surface engages with an inner surface of the barrel to clean the barrel.

A gun cleaning kit comprising a handle, an elongate rod, a cylindrical brush comprising radially outwardly projecting metal bristles and a cylindrical wiping element, wherein the handle defines a first part of a two-part coupling and a first end of the rod defines a second part of the two-part coupling such that the handle is capable of being detachably coupled to the first end of the rod via the first two-part coupling; a second end of the rod defines a first part of a second two-part coupling; and each of the cylindrical brush and cylindrical wiping element defines a second part of the second two-part coupling, such that the cylindrical brush and the cylindrical wiping element are each separately capable of being detachably coupled to the second end of the rod via the second two-part coupling.

A gun cleaning kit comprising a handle, an elongate rod, a cylindrical brush comprising radially outwardly projecting metal bristles and a cylindrical wiping element, wherein the handle defines a first part of a two-part coupling and a first end of the rod defines a second part of the two-part coupling such that the handle is capable of being detachably coupled to the first end of the rod via the first two-part coupling; a second end of the rod defines a first part of a second two-part coupling; and each of the cylindrical brush and cylindrical wiping element defines a second part of the second two-part coupling, such that the cylindrical brush and the cylindrical wiping element are each separately capable of being detachably coupled to the second end of the rod via the second two-part coupling.

A vehicle radio antenna mast, temporarily removed from a vehicle, is converted for other use by employing one or more conversion members that connect other components, such as firearm bore cleaning apparatus, with the ends of the antenna mast. After being used for the alternative purpose the antenna mast is restored to its primary use as a vehicle antenna by removing the conversion members and connecting the mast with antenna mounting apparatus of the vehicle.

A vehicle radio antenna mast, temporarily removed from a vehicle, is converted for other use by employing one or more conversion members that connect other components, such as firearm bore cleaning apparatus, with the ends of the antenna mast. After being used for the alternative purpose the antenna mast is restored to its primary use as a vehicle antenna by removing the conversion members and connecting the mast with antenna mounting apparatus of the vehicle.

A firearm barrel cleaning jag is provided that includes a body defined by a longitudinal axis. A spear tip extends from a distal end of the body relative to an attachable end adapted to engage a cleaning rod. Ribs are provided circumferentially disposed around the body adapted to capture the lands of a gun barrel bore into which the jag is inserted. Each of the ribs has a helical notch formed into an outward face of each of the ribs. An annular residue collection channel axially separating each of the ribs. A firearm barrel cleaning apparatus is provided that includes a cleaning rod and a cleaning patch attached to the jag. By reciprocating the jag inside the rifled gun barrel via the attached cleaning rod, the cleaning patch removes residue from the rifled bore.

A firearm barrel cleaning jag is provided that includes a body defined by a longitudinal axis. A spear tip extends from a distal end of the body relative to an attachable end adapted to engage a cleaning rod. Ribs are provided circumferentially disposed around the body adapted to capture the lands of a gun barrel bore into which the jag is inserted. Each of the ribs has a helical notch formed into an outward face of each of the ribs. An annular residue collection channel axially separating each of the ribs. A firearm barrel cleaning apparatus is provided that includes a cleaning rod and a cleaning patch attached to the jag. By reciprocating the jag inside the rifled gun barrel via the attached cleaning rod, the cleaning patch removes residue from the rifled bore.

The disclosure features firearm cleaning tools that include a planar tool body having a length and width that exceed a thickness of the tool body and comprising a first end, a second end, and a middle portion extending within a plane defined by the tool body along a first direction between the first and second ends. The first end features two arms forming a U-shaped portion and defining a recess in the tool body and an angled projection extending in the plane, and the second end features a tab extending from the second end in the first direction and having a width measured in the plane and in a direction orthogonal to the first direction that is less than a width of the middle portion measured in the plane and in the direction orthogonal to the first direction.
