REDUCED STROKE LENGTH TELESCOPIC RECOIL MECHANISM
A reduced stroke length telescopic recoil mechanism for a firearm having a barrel and a slide movable rearwardly with respect to the barrel during an initial part of a firing cycle, and forwardly during an ending part of the firing cycle, the recoil mechanism having a base, an axle fixed to the base, a central tube slidably mounted on the axle, an inner spring engaged between the base and the central tube for biasing the central tube forwardly away from the base, an outer tube slidably mounted with respect to the central tube, a central spring engaged between the central tube and the outer tube for biasing the central tube forwardly away from the base, and an outer spring engaged between the slide and the outer tube for biasing the slide forwardly of the base.

COMPACT UPPER RECEIVER RECOIL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A firearm recoil system is disclosed. The firearm recoil system may include first and second guide rods attached to a bolt carrier group. The first and second guide rods may extend forward through an upper receiver. The firearm recoil system also may include first and second recoil springs. The first recoil spring may be disposed around the first guide rod, and second recoil spring may be disposed around the second guide rod.
Recoil assembly for a machine gun
A recoil assembly for a rifle includes a barrel assembly, a bolt, bolt actuator, and a buffer assembly. The barrel assembly includes a barrel secured to a barrel extension. The barrel assembly is configured to be movably received through the fore end of a receiver and to move axially relative to the upper receiver when the rifle is fired. The barrel extension is coupled to a hydraulic buffer assembly located below the barrel extension and counteracts recoil forces acting on the barrel extension when the rifle is fired. An op-rod spring is coupled to an op rod extending from a gas piston assembly on the barrel. The op-rod spring counteracts recoil forces acting the bolt actuator when the rifle is fired.
Compact recoil spring buffer apparatus
An AR-pattern firearm comprises an upper receiver, a housing positioned above the upper receiver and containing a recoil spring assembly, a bolt carrier assembly positioned in the upper receiver, and a bridge plate operably connecting the bolt carrier assembly to the recoil spring assembly. Discharge of the firearm causes rearward movement of the bolt carrier assembly out of battery and hence rearward movement of the bridge plate which stores energy in the recoil spring assembly, whereupon the stored energy in the recoil spring assembly causes the bolt carrier assembly to move forward back into battery.

Baseplate for a rifle recoil assembly
A recoil assembly for a rifle includes a baseplate comprising a baseplate body extending longitudinally along a central axis from a proximal end to a distal end, the baseplate body defining an opening extending along the central axis and configured to receive an end of a recoil spring guide rod. A latch plate extends up from the top surface of the baseplate body, the latch plate defining a charging handle opening a catch surface for a charging handle latch. In use, the recoil baseplate can be received in an aperture defined in the upper receiver of a rifle, where one or more recoil spring guide rods are received in the opening in the baseplate body. A charging handle can be slidably received through the charging handle opening and charging handle aperture of the upper receiver.
