Firing system in a precharged pneumatic (PCP) rifle
11578942 · 2023-02-14 ·

A firing system using a gas piston instead of a trigger spring provides firing by air that is released after contacting an air outlet valve needle in pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) rifles. This system results in a high outlet speed as well as rapid fire by use of a lever that limits the single release of air into the tube.

This system is a pneumatic actuation valve assembly that can include a frame; a timing spool housing; a timing spool carriage; a timing spool; a magnet configured to bias the timing spool in a forward position; a main spool and configured to travel toward a frame forward portion when a fluid is received into a mid-main spool pressure area wherein the main spool actuates a bolt carried by the frame and is configured to receive a projective in an open position and chamber the projective in a closed position; and, a bore defined in the timing spool configured to allow pressure in a rear main spool pressure area to escape through the bore releasing rearward pressure on the timing spool allowing the timing spool to travel from the rearward position to the forward position according to an attraction of the magnet.

Air gun magazine safety system
11519683 · 2022-12-06 · ·

An air gun is provided with a magazine safety system and methods of making the air gun safe utilizing the magazine. The air gun includes a magazine well protrusion (e.g., floorplate) configured to extend into the magazine well when no magazine is properly inserted into and received in the magazine well. In the extended position, the protrusion prevents actuation of the main valve of the air gun. When a magazine is properly inserted into the magazine well, the protrusion is pushed into a recessed or depressed position by the interaction of the magazine with the magazine well such that the protrusion does not prevent actuation of the main valve of the air gun.

Airgun with selective bypass from high pressure reservoir to firing pressure reservoir

An airgun has a high pressure reservoir for providing a pressurized motive gas to a breech to fire a projectile. A regulator is intermediate the high pressure reservoir and a downstream firing pressure reservoir for providing a consistent regulated pressure of the motive gas in the firing pressure reservoir. The airgun includes a bypass line for selectively connecting the high pressure reservoir to the firing pressure reservoir, independently of the regulator. Thus, an operator can select a firing of the airgun with either a regulated gas pressure in the firing reservoir or the pressure of the high pressure reservoir.

System and method of providing a projectile module having a net with a drawstring

A projectile cartridge that can be removably attached to a flying vehicle is disclosed. A system can include a first flying vehicle, a projectile attachment mechanism configured with the first flying vehicle, a projectile cartridge that contains a projectile, the projectile cartridge being removably attachable to the projectile attachment mechanism, a weight attached to the projectile, the weight being configured in a releasable configuration in the projectile cartridge and a drawstring configured with the projectile. After firing the projectile, when tension is applied to the drawstring as the projectile approaches or envelops a second flying vehicle, the tension can cause the drawstring to close the projectile down to secure the second flying vehicle.
