Magnus effect cylindrical projectile and launcher
The present invention is a toy launcher system. A lightweight projectile has an exterior surface symmetrically disposed about an imaginary longitudinal axis and is generally spool-shaped. The launcher is composed of a shaft to which a flexible curled band is attached. The flexible curled band holds the projectile within its curvature. When the launcher is rotated by a user using a general throwing motion the band uncurls, thereby launching the projectile into flight.
ELECTROMAGNETIC LAUNCHER WITH SPIRAL GUIDEWAY
An electromagnetic launcher with a curved or spiral-shaped, open-ended guideway and conductors for launching a projectile. The projectile, movably retained on or within the guideway, is accelerated along the guideway using electromagnetic forces until it reaches an end of the guideway, then the projectile is launched in a desired direction. The direction of the launch of the projectile is determined by orienting the guideway in the desired direction using an actuator.
PROJECTILE FIRING APPARATUS
An apparatus for firing projectiles including a feeding mechanism adapted to feed projectiles into rotating arms rotating around an axis within a guide wall. The wall includes an opening through which the projectile are expelled due to the rotation of the arms. Strikers attached to each arm are so positioned so that they strike the projectile that has been expelled through the guide accelerating the projectile.

ACCELERATION AND PRECISION CONTROLLED EJECTION OF MASS
Rotational motion generates velocity of a mass wherein the mass' release from the rotating system, becoming a projectile, and subsequent impact can result in cutting, abrasion, mixing of chemicals, coaling, and other surface and bulk volume effects including the transfer of momentum. Structures and devices are used to insert a mass into a rotating device. While inside the rotating device the mass gains velocity. Transitioning from the rotational system to a stationary surface is accomplished with a minimum of velocity loss by selecting trajectories, air flows, and surface finishes to reduce energy losses in the mass' transition onto the stationary surface and info a fixed stationary guide tube, and ultimately to an impact point. Single and multiple conduits, stationary and rotating, can be used to accomplish complex chemistry and physics affects.
Spring-assisted digit mounted device for launching projectiles
A digit-mounted, spring-assisted device for launching a projectile in response to a launching motion of a finger by a user. The digit-mounted device may comprise a securing means for securing a launcher to the digit of the user. The securing means may comprise a strap, loop, or cinch. The digit-mounted device may further comprise a launch guide extending outwardly from a base member. A projectile may be mounted onto or into the launch guide. A spring may be mounted on the digit-mounted device which is placed under tension when the user prepares to make a launching motion with the digit. The projectile is launched in response to the user making a launching motion with the digit, using the thumb as a tensioning means. The spring is released from tension upon making a launching motion with the digit, adding to the force given to the projectile upon launch. The projectile may take a wide variety of forms.
PET ACCESSORY
Provided is a pet accessory comprising a leash having a distal end configurable to engage an animal and further defining a finger loop, with a proximal end defining a handle. Also included is an elastic resiliently deformable cradle shaped and configured for operatively receiving a ball therein, the cradle configured so that the leash is slidably receivable through at least a portion of an outer periphery thereof so that folding the leash about the outer periphery engages the ball in the cradle, wherein the pet accessory is usable to lead an animal and as a sling to cast the ball.
Launcher Device
A device for launching objects of varying shapes and sizes that include a means of being hooked and accurately launched overhand, underhand, or sideways with minimal effort and strain.
