Crossbow with a release mechanism
A trigger mechanism for use in a crossbow having a bowstring, the trigger mechanism comprising a housing having a slot formed therein, a trigger lever pivotally mounted in the housing and having a trigger that extends partially outside the housing, a catch pivotally mounted in the housing, and a disarm mechanism received in the housing that is moveable between a neutral first position and a disarm second position. The catch has a first end configured to retain the bowstring in a cocked position and a second end configured to operatively engage the trigger lever. When the disarm mechanism is in the disarm second position and the user draws the bowstring further into the housing slot, the trigger mechanism is configured to allow the catch to move from the catch first position into the catch second position without requiring the user to engage the trigger (e.g., squeezing or pulling the trigger).
Reduced length crossbow
A reduced length crossbow with a trigger located near a midpoint of the crossbow and a small included angle of the draw string when in the drawing configuration that creates a space between the draw string and the user's face. The included angle of the draw string when in the drawing configuration may be less than about 25 degrees. The trigger is typically located proximate the midpoint within about 10% of the overall length of the crossbow.
Safety system for a speargun
An improvement upon speargun safeties found in the prior art is disclosed. This system includes a safety capable of being placed in more than one position, with at least one position preventing loading the speargun by blocking engagement of the spear shaft with the trigger group, one position preventing firing of the speargun by blocking rear travel of the trigger and release of the spear and one position allowing firing of the speargun by allowing rear travel of the trigger.
SPEARGUN
The invention pertains to a speargun, comprising a barrel having an oblong body and a spear track for directly receiving a spear, the spear track being formed as a channel on the outer surface of the barrel, a handle unit connected to the barrel, and a trigger unit for releasing the spear through activation of a finger trigger, wherein the barrel is constructed as a single piece having an oblong barrel body comprising a hollow interior space, wherein a reinforcing bar is provided inside the hollow interior space, the reinforcing bar running essentially a length of the barrel body. The invention also pertains to a speargun wherein a housing containing the trigger unit has a window through which the trigger mechanism of the trigger unit is at least partly visible from an outside and a speargun wherein fixation means are provided for fixing the handle unit in different positions along the barrel.
Speargun

Speargun for underwater fishing
The speargun for underwater fishing comprises a spear, a hollow hand grip having therewithin a retaining mechanism for retaining the spear, a snap trigger of the retaining mechanism for the release of the spear, a hollow barrel fixed to the hand grip, a terminal head fixed to the barrel and supporting at least one lateral pulley on which a rubber band for the propulsive thrust of the spear is wound, and a housing for engaging one end of the rubber band, formed in a single piece with a wall of the hand grip and located in a transversal geometric plane of the speargun which includes the axis of the barrel and cuts the speargun into an upper half-part and a lower half-part.
CROSSBOW WITH SCOPE MOUNT
A crossbow includes a center rail, a first flexible limb, a second flexible limb, a first cam, a second cam, a draw string, a string carrier, and a scope mount. The draw string is coupled with the first cam and the second cam and is configured to move between a released configuration and a drawn configuration. The string carrier is slidably engaged with the center rail and configured to move between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the string carrier is positioned at least partially between the scope mount and the center rail and is configured to engage the draw string, with the draw string in the released configuration. In the second position, the string carrier is configured to retain the draw string in the drawn configuration and the string carrier is positioned at least partially between the scope mount and the center rail.
REDUCED LENGTH CROSSBOW
A crossbow including a center rail including a bottom portion, a proximal end, and a distal end positioned opposite the proximal end, the center rail at least partially defining a crossbow length and a midpoint plane intersecting a horizontal midpoint of the crossbow, a riser extending horizontally from the distal end, one or more limbs coupled to the riser, and a trigger extending from the bottom portion of the center rail and positioned within ten percent of the crossbow length from the midpoint plane.
