MOVABLE PROTECTION DEVICE FOR MILITARY VEHICLES WITH A DISTANCE-ACTIVE PROTECTION SYSTEM
In exemplary embodiments, a device for protection of a military vehicle against repercussions from a distance-active protection system includes a protective shield pivotally attached to the vehicle that absorbs and/or redirects repercussions (e.g., shockwaves) from the distance-active protection system. A method for protecting a vehicle against repercussions of a distance-active protection system with a protection device. In other embodiments, the distance-active protection system is incorporated into a military vehicle.
Apparatus for vehicle launch, recovery, storage and transport
An apparatus for launching, recovering, transporting, and storing vehicles is disclosed. The apparatus stabilizes the vehicle while it is in operation or inactive and has a frame connected to at least one stabilizer. In certain configurations, the apparatus stabilizes the vehicle without using the vehicle's onboard landing gear. The apparatus may also include at least one pad connected to the apparatus.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR LAUNCHING AN UNDERWATER PROJECTILE FROM A WATERCRAFT
A launching device and associated methods can be utilized to launch an underwater running body from a platform such as a watercraft. The launching device may include a ramp, which extends along a longitudinal ramp axis, and a propellant deflection unit. The ramp may enclose an underwater running body with a propulsion unit underwater. The launching device may activate the propulsion unit, which then emits a propellant. The propellant deflection unit deflects the emitted propellant into an outlet direction. This outlet direction of the propellant may be directed perpendicularly or obliquely away from the platform.
System and method for launching and acceleration of objects
A system and method for acceleration of a flying object, preferably with large take-off mass is described. The system can accelerate an object with a mass of several hundred thousand tons. The system includes the use for object acceleration of free (for the period of direct acceleration) energy of exhaust gases of the system elements' jet engines, pushing-out force of water, force of Earth's gravity, initial movement energy of the compressed spring and vacuum, lifting force of light gases, as well as energy consuming, for the period of acceleration, action of the system elements' jet engines, gunpowder gases and drives. The system and the method include acceleration of an object simultaneously in several systems accelerating one inside the other with the summation and increase of acceleration speed. The main elements of the system: launch barrel, carrier and booster pistons with jet engines, and pushing the pistons support.

Grounded and vehicular mounted weapons with improved recoil stability
A counter momentum generator is employed on a weapon system to manage horizontal recoil momentum of the weapon system. The counter momentum generator generates a counter momentum which that is not parallel to the recoil momentum. A horizontal component of the counter momentum negates a portion of the horizontal recoil momentum. A vertical component of the counter momentum combines with the vertical recoil momentum to aid in compression between the base of the weapon system and the ground.
ROCKET MOTOR WITH COMBUSTION PRODUCT DEFLECTOR
A missile includes a rocket motor that has a flow deflector in an expansion region of the rocket motor's nozzle. The flow deflector diverts flow of combustion products away from a safe region that is aft of the missile. The safe region protects an operator of a launcher used to fire the missile, such as a shoulder-fired launcher, from harm caused by the combustion products. The flow deflector may be small enough such that it does not significantly adversely affect the performance of the rocket motor. The presence of the flow diverter may allow for the rocket motor to be started sooner in the flight of the missile, or at a distance closer to the operator, while still keeping the operator safe. The flow deflector and supporting structure, such as struts, may be additively manufactured with at least an aft part of the nozzle, as a continuous single-piece part.
