Multiple angle pivoting placement (MAPP) stand
A stand for vertically aligning borehole charges on non-level surfaces. The stand has a support base. A ball and socket assembly includes a socket portion connected to the support base and a ball portion disposed in the socket portion. The socket portion includes a grip interface to press against the ball portion. A body is connected to the ball portion. A clamp is attached to the socket portion at an interface of the ball and socket assembly between the socket portion and the ball portion. The body is configured to contain a shaped explosive charge for making a borehole. The ball and socket assembly is substantially hollow. The clamp adjusts compression of the ball and socket assembly.
Device and method for mine disposal
A projectile for piercing a casing of a mine containing an explosive material. The projectile includes a projectile body having a nose portion and a tail portion and a longitudinal axis, a switch, and electrodes separated such that in use an electrical discharge can flow between them through an explosive material contained within a mine, or to initiate an energetic material provided between the electrodes to detonate an explosive material contained within a mine. Also provided is a method of mine disposal.

Apparatus for remotely lifting a buried explosive device
An apparatus for lifting a buried explosive device includes a T-shaped base including a flange member and a web member. The web member has one end fixed at a right angle to the midpoint of the flange member. A vertical upright member is fixed at one end to the midpoint of the flange member. A diagonal member is fixed at one end to the other end of the vertical upright member and fixed at another end to a second end of the web member that is distal the flange member. The vertical upright member is at least twice a length of the web member. The flange member, the web member, the vertical upright member and the diagonal member are L-channel members made of carbon fiber.

Fluid jet stabilizing projectile for enhanced IED disrupters
A propellant driven disrupter (PDD) for disrupting an explosive target, comprising: a disrupter barrel having a breech and muzzle end; a projectile liquid or gas positioned in the barrel and extending a longitudinal distance in the disrupter barrel. The projectile liquid distal end is located farthest from the disrupter barrel breech end. A jet stabilizing projectile (JSP) is at least partially positioned in the barrel and operably contacts the projectile liquid distal end. The JSP has a JSP proximal end facing toward the disrupter barrel breech end and a distal end opposed to the JSP proximal end, wherein some or all of the JSP is positioned in the barrel. The PDD may contain the JSP, with an air region between the JSP distal end and the muzzle end, or an air region in an adapter that is connected to the muzzle end. Also provided are JSP's having improved flight stability for use with liquid or air-filled disrupters and methods of disrupting a target.

ADJUSTABLE STAND FOR HOLDING A LIQUID EXPLOSIVE
A low-cost, reliable and easy to use kit for neutralizing surface exposed landmine and unexploded ordnance for humanitarian demining is based on a liquid fuel and a solid/soluble fuel. Both fuels are premeasured in separate, sealed containers. The addition of a small quantity of solid/soluble fuel into the liquid creates an explosive. The resulting mixture is capable of detonating with a standard No. 8 blasting cap. The solid/soluble fuel can be in the form of a powder, tablet, or its saturated solution in water. The solid/soluble fuel is hexamethylenetetramine. The liquid fuel, nitromethane, is provided in premeasured quantities. User is provided instructions for choosing the appropriate quantity of liquid fuel, the corresponding solid/soluble fuel required, the method of mixing, placement and detonation of the kits. Also disclosed is a simple wooden stand to hold the bottle of explosive in place. A special fuel, liquid 2-ethylhexylnitrate, is provided to desensitize the mixed and sensitized explosive.
