The system includes an instrumentation sensor, an aggregation controller and a base station. The instrumentation sensor is disposed on the target. The sensor transmits a status condition based on electrical integrity. The status condition is either intact as default or else disablement in response to impact from the projectile. The aggregation controller receives the status condition from the sensor and transmits the status information as aggregated information. The base station receives the aggregated information for analysis to determine the effectiveness in response to the gun firing at the target.

A portable target game that can be set up and played anywhere. The game consists of moving targets within a concave backstop, the moving targets being attached to flexible rods such that hits on target fall into the base of the concave backstop. The game is meant to be played with existing, lightweight projectiles such as NERF guns and plastic balls. The concave backstop is foldable such that the game can be folded up with all of the projectiles inside, and disassembled for convenient storage.

Example systems, devices, and methods related to an automated target system are provided. In this regard, a target pod device, that may be installed in a target base is provided. The target pod device may include a hinge, a target paddle, a rotary actuator, a sensor, and a processor. The target paddle may be operably coupled to the hinge and the rotary actuator may be operably coupled to the target paddle. The rotary actuator may be configured to rotate the target paddle to a deployed position or a retracted position. The sensor may detect that the target paddle has been moved toward the retracted position. The processor may be configured to transmit a signal to the rotary actuator to cause the rotary actuator to rotate the target paddle, and determine whether the target paddle has been moved toward the retracted position by a projectile.
