EXTENDED-REALITY PROJECTILE-FIRING GAMING SYSTEM AND METHOD
An extended-reality projectile-firing gaming system includes a projectile-firing device, a battlefield object configured to detect impact of projectiles thereon, a network configured to provide communication and control connectivity in accordance with at least one protocol to the projectile-firing device and the wearable device, and an extended-reality gaming application. The application controls the projectile-firing device and the wearable device, receives projectile-firing device data from the projectile-firing device, receives battlefield object data from a battlefield object, the battlefield object data indicating that an impact occurred on the battlefield object, and the time the battlefield object was impacted, and updates gaming metric data to indicate a successful impact of the fired projectile on the battlefield object and a successful hit by the projectile-firing device on the battlefield object when the time the impact occurred on the battlefield object and the time the projectile was fired occur within a predetermined time period.
Shooting target with audible feedback
The present teachings generally include devices, systems, and methods for shooting targets, and more particularly, to shooting targets that can provide audible feedback for a user. For example, a shooting target may include a plurality of plates, where different plates are structurally configured to resonate and create different sounds when struck by a projectile (e.g., a bullet from a firearm). In this manner, a user can discern—via a sound report heard by the user—where a shooter has struck the shooting target. Further, one or more of the plurality of plates may mimic (e.g., through location and/or shape) anatomy of an animal. In this manner, a shooter can receive audible feedback regarding whether the shooter has struck certain anatomical areas that would likely disable an animal in a real-life, live-action, non-simulated scenario.

Non-lethal weapons modular human surrogate testing device and method
A modular surrogate can include: a body having an external body surface with an anatomical shape, wherein the body includes an internal chamber with at least one port formed in the body extending inwardly; at least one anatomical module having an external module portion and a module stem coupled thereto, the module stem being received into a corresponding module port of the at least one port, the external module portion having an external module surface with an anatomical shape, the external body surface matches with the external module surface to provide a continuous anatomical shape; at least one sensor located in the at least one anatomical module; and at least one controller, wherein when the at least one anatomical module is coupled with the body, the at least one sensor is capable of being operably coupled with the at least one controller.
THERMAL IMAGING TARGET
A thermal imaging target includes a heating insulation layer, a heat conduction layer, a flow guiding layer, a bottom layer, and a self-heating package; the heat conduction layer bonded to the bottom layer, and an opening formed at the top to form a pocket-shaped structure; the self-heating package placed in a pocket, and a self-heating material arranged in the self-heating package for generating heat; the flow guiding layer placed between the heat conduction layer and the bottom layer to form cross-connected heat dissipation channels for guiding the heat generated by the self-heating package to crisscross flow in the pocket; the heat insulation layer attached to an outer surface of the heat conduction layer; thermal conductivity of the heat insulation layer lower than that of the heat conduction layer, so that a temperature difference is formed between the heat conduction layer and the heat insulation layer during heat conduction.

Apparatus and method for indicating whether a target has been impacted by a projectile
Apparatuses, systems and methods for indicating whether a target has been impacted by a projectile are disclosed. Embodiments may include a microcontroller, an impact sensor, and an impact indicator. Apparatus may include an acoustic sensor and a miss indicator. Acoustic information or impact information may be received by the sensors and sent to the microcontroller unit. A determination may be made regarding whether the target has been impacted. An indication of a hit or a miss may be made by the impact indicator based on the determination. A light redirection element, which may include a light pipe, may direct light from the impact indicator around the edge of a target to a viewer.
