A liner for a shaped charge, the liner being a generally conical liner, in which the liner is formed from metal or metal alloy and in which the liner has an internal apex angle in the range of approximately 105-110 degrees.

PROTECTION EQUIPMENT, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DESTRUCTION OF EXPLOSIVES

Disclosed are a protection equipment, system and method for the destruction of explosives. The protection equipment for the destruction of explosives includes four modules: an inner fence, an outer fence, an anti-leakage fence and a top cover. The modular equipment takes an overall nonmetal flexible composite structure, and the individual modules are light in weight and convenient to operate. It can be operated by two persons or a single person. A protective effect can be achieved during destruction of explosives by using the protection equipment, and even if the explosives explode during destruction, it will not cause injury to surrounding personnel. A protection system for explosive destruction based on the protection equipment can be used to destroy unexploded bomb or explosives under protective conditions, thereby achieving rapid emergency disposal without making contact with the explosives.

Method and Apparatus For Rendering Safe Unexploded Ordnance

A system for rendering safe unexploded military ordnance items found on land by use of a portable apparatus employing entrainment waterjet technology. The portable apparatus includes a tool package containing a plurality of tools designed for accessing the interior of a unexploded ordnance item. The interior of the ordnance item is accessed, and its internal contents, which it typically an energetic material, is washed-out and recovered.

Shaped Charges for Focusing a Fluid Mass

Provided herein are shaped charges for focusing a fluid mass and related methods of using the shaped charges for disruption of an explosive target with a spherical projectile. The shaped charge comprises a plastic shell having a special geometric shape configured to support a shape-conforming explosive. A cylindrical plastic body has an interior volume for containing a fluid and the plastic shell. The plastic body closed distal end has a geometric shape that is substantially matched to the shape of the plastic shell. Metal spherical projectiles having an outer layer of metal selected to have an effective density matched to the fluid provide advantageous target disruption capabilities.

Fluid vessel with configurable shape

A configurable fluid vessel including a flexible bladder having a fluid port through which a fluid such as water can be provided into the bladder. The fluid vessel includes an internal support frame within the flexible bladder to increase rigidity and can be manipulated into a predetermined shape. The fluid vessel is collapsible for storage whilst retaining rigidity when in use. The fluid vessel is particularly suited for use in explosive jet disruptors for tailoring the formation of a fluid jet.

Disrupter driven highly efficient energy transfer fluid jets

Provided herein are projectiles for use in a propellant driven disrupter device, and associated methods, to neutralize an explosive target. The projectile may comprise a friction reducing container at least partially filled with one or more fluids, fluid mixtures, particles, and other components to provide one or more desired fluid properties to achieve a desired one or more jet parameters upon target impact. The fluid(s) in the container are referred to as highly efficient energy transfer (HEET) fluids do to the improved fluid jet action on target compared to conventional water projectiles. The projectiles and disruptor can be more precisely individually tailored to the target, thereby increasing the likelihood of successful disablement and decreasing the likelihood of inadvertent and uncontrolled explosion.

A shotgun hydroblasting system includes a chassis. A motor is operable to drive movement of the chassis. A support arm assembly is mounted to the chassis. A shotgun nozzle mounted to the support arm assembly such that the shotgun nozzle is movable relative to the chassis on the support arm assembly. The shotgun nozzle includes a barrel defining a primary outlet for pressurized fluid and a suppressor defining a secondary outlet for the pressurized fluid. The barrel and the suppressor are positioned and oriented such that a force of the pressurized fluid exiting the secondary outlet opposes a force of the pressurized fluid exiting the primary outlet.

MOBILE DEFUSING CHAMBER

A delaboration chamber has an outer housing that can be sealed by a removable cover. The delaboration chamber has an inner floor. A first chamber region is formed underneath the inner floor by the inner floor and the outer housing. The first chamber region is filled with a flowable or solid medium. The inner floor has a recess for receiving an explosive object. The cover is connected to the outer housing in a shockproof manner. The cover has a pressure relief that has at least one deflection for the detonation gases.
